  1. MLT against Arsenal, last game at the Dell for the emotion of the occasion. Barry Horne's against Bolton. I was standing behind the goal and it swerved all over the place. MLT's first against Newcastle. I told my daughter at the time that she would never see anything like those two goals ever again. At St. Mary's, Camara's against Norwich or John's winner against Sheffield United for the eruption of noise.
  2. I thought the first half was fairly equal, certainly Kelvin had some important saves to make whereas their keeper didn't have to do anything until after we were two goals down. I wouldn't call them 'shots', more like back-passes.
  3. By not coming back and causing a 5000 in the attendances?
  4. All-seater stadiums? When was the Dell converted?
  5. Aren't HMRC preferential creditors?
  6. I've been rubbing my 'lucky keyring' all season but somehow nothing happens. I sometimes think that it's the players' fault for not looking up at us to see if we're wearing our lucky scarf / lucky underpants / lucky chairman / lucky you-name-it.
  7. This is probably wher the 'third week of March' comes into it. We would have to check the regulations but I'm sure that the club are looking at it even as we type.
  8. I think it's more to do with League/FA regulations. They don't want clubs to go into administration 5 minutes after they are mathematically relegated. Otherwise if you're relegated you could take the -10 points this season and start next with a clean sheet in the lower division. This is what Leeds did.
  9. 9 home games left? A new manager promising exciting, attacking football and 5,000 extra on every home gate? That should be an extra £600k or so by the end of the season. Or have we been here before?
  10. Nah. I went there once and we didn't win.
  11. Oi! I read the Mail (and The Times). Well, I look at the pictures anyway.
  12. 'Under Siege 2' A very worthy and important maxim by which to run one's life. Penn: Ryback's gone, Dane. Travis Dane: Did you see the body? Assumption is the mother of all F**K UPS!
  13. Didn't Bournemouth have -10 points last season and -17 this? Luton have -30 this season for a variety of reasons.
  14. What a brilliant idea! Let's not have a manager at all. It would save money and we couldn't do any worse.
  15. We've all passed a lot of water since then. All that matters now is where we go from here. One day we will all look back on this and have a good laugh (if I'm still around).
  16. You'll get no stick from me, but I've seen too many false dawns to ever have got excited. I won't even say 'I told you so' ...oops
  17. A bad workman will always blame his tools. It's been obvious to most of us for some time now that this fellow is tactically and motivationally clueless. Some basic organisation and sense of purpose with players given simple, straightforward instructions that maximise their capabilities and negate the opposition's are not too much to ask for.
  18. I'd go for Curbishley. He might not keep us up but I'd rather have him in charge for the next few seasons than the clown we have at the moment.
  19. Hmmm ... interesting reading. Perhaps somebody could explain to me what has happened since then, it seems to have been downhill all the way. I didn't go to the West Ham match so perhaps I wasn't blinded by the style over the substance?
  20. At any other club in any other league he wouldn't have been appointed (except Holland)
  21. Davros was better looking.
  22. But I thought we needed the cheap option???
  23. Basically, yes.
  24. Could it be that Lowe knows that administration and 10 point deduction is inevitable - maybe imminent - and there is no point in changing manager?
  25. Wasn't that chap Phil Ifill a loan? Jack Cork can play at fullback.
