  1. Agreed. But we won’t really know until after the game on Sunday 12th. I fear that we may be playing sleepwalking football.
  2. If you’re too scared to play you’ve already lost. We would be off the pace in the next game against a team which has been going flat out. Losing is a habit that’s hard to break.
  3. Quite the opposite. We must have a settled side going into the playoffs. This is no time to give the also-rans a run out. We have lost three games in a row and this is no time to deliberately make it four.
  4. I don’t blame him much for any of them but it’s a similar pattern to last season. I just don’t think that Bazunu would have got off so lightly.
  5. Eight goals conceded in the last three games?
  6. A slower game? How about postal chess?
  7. Yeah, I saw it all at the time and I wouldn’t call it a howler. And well done Ipswich. My dad used to go and watch them when Alf Ramsey was their manager.
  8. Not necessarily. If Ipswich are losing at half time it could get quite frantic.
  9. You can’t tell anything from a still photo, but I remember watching it at the time. That wasn’t the main reason that I hate VAR.
  10. I as thinking more of the offside guesswork. It’s just not accurate enough for that. Not the clearest penalty you’ll ever see. Could have gone either way.
  11. Ipswich 1-0 up
  12. I’d rather he went to a competitor.
  13. But it’s far more important to prevent those shots no matter who is in goal.
  14. A relative goal difference of seven. Not impossible but unlikely.
  15. It needed a lot more than just that. Our defence has been wide open porous and the best keeper in the country could never make up for that.
  16. Please don’t.
  17. Irrespective of the squad of players he has made so many mistakes that I cannot cut him any slack. Defensively we are wide open and that has to be down to his coaching.
  18. Strictly speaking we don’t have to win all three playoffs.
  19. It’s all questions, questions.
  20. Not at all. It means that they got fed up being made to wait over twenty minutes on a cold and rainy day. They were luck that anybody was left inside the stadium.
  21. A couple of points, Stuart Armstrong is out of contract (as is Adams) and has some serious thinking to do about his future career. We are committed to signing Harwood-Bellis if we get promoted now, although there would be some prolonged discussions first. But yes, some considerable reconstruction needed starting with the manager.
  22. I was incandescent about being kept behind after the game. Why is it that we keep the home fans in the stadium whilst the away fans disperse in similar circumstances? I also didn’t like the way those little shits came onto the pitch at the end and stood there taunting us. Classless club, classless fans. The only saving grace was seeing their dismal performance the following season. It was a long walk back to the coaches afterwards in the horrible cold rain. I just wanted to get home.
