That’s exactly my point. I have spent my professional life using technology and I have a good understanding of statistics and stochastics. These methods are the sort of stuff that gamblers use to try to justify whether to bet on red or black.

AI is not very intelligent. xG never gets anywhere near actual Goals which proves that it is a useless indicator and can be safely ignored.

Read it again and do it properly this time.

I would guess that it’s not just PNE that have to agree. There are also the police and other authorities. There was a time when there used up be endless cup replays and games could be arranged in a couple of days. Then the police, I think it was, wanted a lot more notice than that.

The best way to avoid them is to go in full heartedly to block and keep your eyes on the ball at all times. Allowing the attackers a free shot is asking for trouble. There’s always the possibility that they’ll stick one up in the corner.

Aye, that’s the concern

Has it finished???

I didn’t say that. But you stated that the converse was historic fact.

But again, if you turn away and don't look at the ball deflections are likely to happen. Besides, defenders are there to get in the face of attackers and block shots. Otherwise you might as well let them have a free run at your goalkeeper. Ah. It all makes sense now.

And how do we know that? Perhaps the cause and effect were reversed? Besides, from what I can see they were all at it with everybody.

Indeed it is. Whatever the school of thought, the important thing is to keep your eyes on the ball and face the attacker. Better stir, get right in his face and put him off. It isn’t You have no hope of blocking a shot you’re not looking at.

He might benefit but what about the rest of us?

Did they not see them coming?

You know what I think about these sorts of tables and this just proves me right, in my subjective opinion.

Nobody ‘deserves’ to get a game. They’re paid a fortune and if that means watching from the bench then so be it.
-
Are you sure about that?
-
But how can they be disregarded?
-
It all depends on where he plays and who he has around him. He had a good game yesterday.
-
They did, but they shouldn’t have been necessary and they might not have worked. The game was comfortably won and in our pockets and there it should have stayed.
-
Yes there is. We leave gaping holes in our defence.
-
There are times when that is the best option.
-
Yes, no chance with either but he had a couple of wobbly moments.

It always used to be on a certain date.

“That idiot’s” needless substitutions got Sunderland back into the game.

And Brooks. If ever a side didn’t need changing it was the one that played the first 55 minutes today. Martin thinks he’s a lot cleverer than he is.
