Agreed. They don’t close down players quickly enough. They don’t run at them. They just stand off, turn on sideways and hope that the ball doesn’t hurt them too much if it hits them. A common factor in most of the goals that we concede is the amount of space and time that we concede. If a player is ruched then he is more likely to make a poor shot. Ipswich’s second goal took a slight touch of the inside of Harwood-Bellis’s right leg on its way to beating Baz’s outstretched fingers.
