It was a great save. Where was the error? Not letting the ball slip through his fingers? Where do you think he should have pushed the ball to? The Arsenal players were quicker to the ball. They are instinctive saves. There isn’t time to have a look around and decide where to play it.

Yet these same bottlers scored three goals away at the league leaders.

He made the save, he was never going to hold it, where else is it going to go? It was a great save. The problem is not blocking the opposition players.

Which begs the question, why wait until now?

Hard and low down at grass level. He did well to stop them. It was Sulemana’s slip that let them score but more significant was the decision to sit back and try to defend against the league leaders for what turned out to be over 55 minutes.

Thirty seconds are added for a goal. Not enough, but that’s what it is.
