  1. It isn’t. Our squad isn’t good enough that we can have a top rate team for every match so it needs to be managed more intelligently. Of theses three games in a week which is the one we should have gone all out for and thrown everything at? Our midfield was empty last night. JWP and Diallo were sitting just in front of the back four with Charley, Che, Kamaldeen and Moi playing as a front four. The centre circle was a no-go area for Saints.
  2. Trying to be too clever.
  3. He won’t be a billionaire for long if he keeps spunking it away.
  4. Unfortunately we won’t know if he’s going to be in charge until well past renewal date. If you want the early ‘bonus’ that is.
  5. Have there been any indications as to why he made these changes? Surely he cannot have been saving our best team for Tottenham?
  6. Exciting but then panic and a wild slash at the ball as an end product.
  7. I never said we were, but once or twice a game is a lot different from two players going down for every whistle. Sometimes it was only one player.
  8. I normally support referees on account of my history but that one tonight was poor. His positioning was awful, getting too close to the ball and got in the way twice in the first half, something you hardly ever see. I’d love to know what Bednarek said to him when he ran up to him after he had blocked JWP’s wonderful cross field pass. He broke up what was becoming a beautiful sequence of passes. Something needs to be done about all these players sitting down at every opportunity. Maybe the game should just carry in without them. If it’s not a head injury there should be no reason to have the medics come onto the field. Don’t they carry on in rugby with the game going on around them?
  9. When the system becomes the be all and end all of the way we play then we are in trouble. Anti-football is never going to be the answer for a club of our size or heritage. What some might call ‘success’ of the bludgeoning hoof-it style of football is never going to have the fans smiling upon their way out of the ground.
  10. We were too busy concentrating on passing the ball about amongst ourselves. We seemed to have lost sight of the end purpose of getting the ball in the other team’s net.
  11. And let me be clear. I’m not talking about Southampton here.
  12. That presentation tonight was a load of crap. Nothing to do with football. A load of cheating bastards.
  13. You have never understood and you never will.
  14. There was one occasion in the second half when we had worked our way in on the right close in to their goal when there were suddenly four Brentford players plus the goalkeeper smothering any chance.
  15. He’s not playing in the Premier League yet. Plenty of players have done well in the Championship yet failed to deliver in a higher league.
  16. Yes. Why was that starting lineup out there? Have we had any explanation yet?
  17. We’re far too slow at moving the ball about.
  18. What’s a whorehouse?
  19. I don’t. Winning at all costs is no good if you lose your soul.
  20. There is one inalienable principle in football. Always play your best team
  21. Not much point in having him out there with Perraud and Sulemana putting in wastefully woeful attempts at crosses.
  22. Absolutely. What a shitty little team Brentford are. Players made of glass sitting down every time the referee blew his whistle. That’s not clever or skilful or clever game management. It’s pure outright cheating.
  23. Certainly not. Wrong on two counts. Firstly, because gambling is immoral. Secondly, because it;s the Daily Mail.
  24. "Somebody said that football's a matter of life and death to you, I said 'listen, it's more important than that'." Bill Shankly
  25. Correct. The original game was scheduled for the 10th September but all games were called off on the 9th.
