  1. Better not to have appointed Jones.
  2. Get rid before he can do any more damage.
  3. There doesn’t have to be contact for it to be a foul anyway.
  4. Whoever it was, he’s undisciplined and not good enough. Being ‘no worse than the others’ is hardly a great endorsement and I’m sure we all care but that’s not enough for the Premier League these days.
  5. If you had told me at the start that we would have only two home league wins all season it would have saved me a lot of worries.
  6. That’s the one light on the horizon.
  7. Of course. That goes without saying.
  8. You wouldn't. And you won't.
  9. Same total cost. Far too high for the crap that has been served up.
  10. How very parochial.
  11. It’s all done on computers these days.
  12. In this case they are buying the people and their experience and contacts. The buildings that they operate in are inconsequential.
  13. British citizens are certainly more equal than non-British citizens.
  14. I’m not convinced by Sulemana. For me Djenepo offers more. Plus a goal threat too. (Their goal, not ours)
  15. And perhaps this one will.
  16. “How many sugars in your tea?”
  17. Only very slightly and I thought he had enough time to adjust. He seemed to get caught by surprise but that’s what can happen when you don’t play for a while. However, if the glove had been on the other hand…
  18. Obviously not what we needed.
  19. It’s the sort of thing that people with no brains do.
  20. He is not British. He chose to leave and go to a country of which he is a citizen. He should ask his own government for protection. Where he works has no bearing on the matter.
  21. Really? He let the ball dribble past him.
  22. This may be stating the bleeding obvious but football is a team game. It’s not just a case of choosing a set of 11 players and sending out on the pitch in the hope that somehow between them they can stop goals going in our goal and score goals at the other end. Much of the enjoyment of watching football is to see the fluid movement and interchange of players with the aim of overloading the opposition in certain areas and gaining an advantage that might lead to an attack and a scoring opportunity. In many aspects moving men around on a pitch is similar to a battle or even a game of chess. What we do is like playing postal chess whilst the other teams are playing speed chess. “Get there the fastest with the mostest” is always a good idea.
  23. Who’s playing Short Stop?
