  1. They are paid a lot of money for the job that they do.
  2. They will maintain their income whatever the energy usage. If we all halved our consumption they’d only go and double their charges.
  3. Brings back memories for me. When I was there studying engineering the chap in charge of the electrical machines lab knew that I played football and asked if I’d like to go along to the game with him that Saturday. He always did a live audio broadcast for the hospital radio and invited me to do the half time summary. 27th March 1971 Cambridge United were at home to Scunthorpe and ended up drawing 1-1. I was hopeless as a summariser but I do remember an energetic youngster (with a perm as I remember) running around for Scunthorpe and looking very lively. On 3rd May that same year a certain twenty year old Kevin Keegan signed for Liverpool for a fee of £33,000 and £50 a week. If I can get a ticket I shall be there. The ground is 1.8 miles from the city centre or 2 miles from the station. Trains go from both Liverpool Street and Kings Cross but I shall probably spend the night in town.
  4. Those in European competitions join in a later round.
  5. When you're put on hold and the music that they're playing is full of dropouts. Every time that it hiccups you think that the person on the other end has picked up.
  6. Agreed That was when we went over the cliff.
  7. I'm not an expert but I would say that both parts apply to your daughter's phone only. Part 1 is to make sure that after deleting the contacts on her phone they don't get restored again by any auto synching. Since you say that her phone is set up with your Google account details this would most probably happen. Please be aware that effectivley her phone will be considered by Google to be a copy of your phone too. She will also be able to make any purchases from Google Pay that you can. You might be better advised to set up a new Google account for her using a new email address. Gmail accounts are free. Part 2 is the bit that removes the contacts from your daughter's phone

I only hope that they have to leave via the occupied Ukrainian territories rather than the Kerch Bridge.
  9. Did you rest the phone before setting it up? If not, Disable syncing by going to “Settings” > “Accounts” > “Google“. Select your Google account and uncheck “Sync Contacts“. If you sync contacts with other apps such as Facebook or Twitter, be sure to disable syncing for those apps as well. Go to “Settings” > “Applications” > “Manage applications” > “All” > “Contacts” > “Storage” and select “Clear data“.
  10. Tottenham player, innit.
  11. 6 Things You Should Never Do In The Shower https://www.prevention.com/health/g20504149/shower-health-safety/ It mentions "Overusing your loofah" and "Having shower sex"
  12. No wonder they can't defend or hold a shape properly. They're too busy trying to work out where their next back pass is going to go.
  13. It's not the same club though, is it.
  14. “Never believe a rumour until it’s denied”
  15. Only if he can defend corners;)
  16. Are you on good terms with him?
  17. I’ve only seen that green away kit on MOTD. Is it as awful in the flesh as it looked on there?
  18. Worth it just to see her.
  19. Nothing to do with me https://www.usa.gov/presidents This does assume that you know what ‘salutation’ means though.
  20. But can he defend a corner?
  21. Not by me they aren’t. The official website of the United States gives the proper salutation as, ’When sending letters to former presidents, the proper form for addressing the envelope is:The Honorable (president's name)’ Other than that I suspect there are some trumpophiles who can’t help themselves. It has become optional.
  22. Perhaps it hasn’t happened before because he’s no longer president? Do you think it’s time someone told him?
  23. I’ve never been a great believer in ‘short’ full backs. They need to use the black arts if they’re going to put an attacker off his stride.
  24. Ooh. Do you think that was the reason?
  25. I think I’ve found the flaw in your argument.
