xG never won a game of football.
-
Perhaps that was part of the problem? If he was micro-managing the team during the game it’s no wonder that they were slow and ponderous up in their play. He was treating every match like a game of Subbuteo.
-
Understandable. Personally I have just come back from three weeks away and I have a lot of work to catch up with. I have just noticed the kick off times which are mostly in the afternoons with some evening ones at 7:00 pm. I have virtually no chance of being allowed to watch anything at that time unless I want to go out and sit in the shed, but I’d have to buy a shed first. I really can’t be arsed.
-
Not true. I can’t be arsed and I suspect there are others.
-
I thought it was Good Queen Vic that couldn’t accept it?
-
It depends where it is held. Edit: 1954 at the Wankdorf stadium in Bern the final was played in heavy rain.

Air conditioned indoor sports arena. Nothing like proper football. Rain, sun, wind, all non-existent. Like you I have no interest in this World Cup whatsoever. I shall have to find something else to do instead.
-
It's a farce of a tournament. Artificial games in artificial stadiums at a ridiculous time of the year.
-
Cancel the whole thing now.

They're miles ahead of us.

I have now given up banging my head against the wall. In future I shall start charging for my basic maths lessons. They are doing great. They have been doing great. They will continue to be doing great. The UK by comparison continues to struggle along in the slow lane. Just get it into your cloth-eared mind that an annual percentage growth comparison tells you nothing about your current standard of performance. Maybe it's just to complicated for you. No shame in admitting it.
-
Nope. Not me. You obviously don't understand my point, which doesn't surprise me. I would suggest that you try harder but the intellect isn't there. But there again, a year by year differential comparison is beyond your understanding.
-
Try to take a look at the base figures. A year by year comparison is meaningless if it's from a shit base.
-
It's the New Forest. And it's fine ss it is.
-
An understandable reaction but an unhappy player is unlikely to produce his best form.
-
I am also a fan of his. With a new manager we can hope for something freer and better from all our players
-
We'd be there. Proper football.
-
He crouches as they shoot. He seems to try to make himself as small as possible.
-
Too soon to say. Win the next game and the situation changes.
-
Which part of last season? The beginning or the end?
-
I think the figure is high but it's two new cars and a couple of exotic holidays.
-
Who the hell wants to buy a place in London?
-
Two people working, not having foreign holidays, just one car ten years old, not going out, itquite possible. I can't ever remember the day when a single person on a low salary could afford to buy their own house. We saved up for over five years and put down a deposit of £1500 on a house costing £6400 in 1971. But we didn't spend any money on what we would see as luxuries.

I'm underwhelmed but I feel a bit like the way I do after the 'wrong' Prime Minister gets elected. You just have to live through it, hope they don't mess up too badly and in three years or so another one might come along.
