On a diesel? (No, I don’t know either)
  2. He was good tonight. played mostly wide on the left. It would be asking a lot for him to set up the goals and score them himself. We had a nightmare journey back. Road closures and restrictions everywhere. The A101(M) and the M3 south of Winchester were both closed and there were lane restrictions round the M25. Signs said the M3 and parts of the M25 nearby were also closed. We finally got back to Chandlers Ford at five past one.
  3. Nope, afraid not. The bias is all on your side.
  4. And will not contribute to increased CO2 levels.
  5. There were some initial complaints that the lifts were insufficient. She’s a bit big for us with a capacity of but having said that we have effectively jumped ships to Princess and are sailing next on Sky Princess whose capacity is slightly more. When we sailed on her across to Fort Lauderdale last November there were only 1300 on board, 250 of whom were British. It was wonderful.
  6. An outright sale would suit us better but I can see that there might be commercial reasons why another club might prefer a loan. A purchase would put the player on the assets list and increase the capitalisation of the club with his value being amortised over the length of his contract. A loan goes straight against the overheads account, much the same as renting a photocopier would.
  7. Scared by the possibility of a Labour government.
  8. That lasted well

    Softly softly catchee monkey.
  10. Too quick and painless for them. Just kill their pets.
  11. He’s a nasty piece of work. A wrong ‘un. You can spot them a mile off. Besides, why does he feel that he has to pose like Mussolini all the time?
  12. You can't possibly know that.
  13. Nothing wrong with the first Spurs goal. The defender comfortably got the ball first.
  14. Thanks. He did more than rubber stamp it. He somehow saw a foul that nobody elese in the stadium did.
  15. He's signalling that it's a goal, of course Any referee will tell you that they are pleased when theyu play advantage anf the team offended against benefits from it. Especially if they have a big ego.
  16. He’s not celebrating the goal, he’s making the gesture for ‘advantage’.

Sanctions are a long term measure. Why would you think that they would have an immediate effect?
  18. To be fair the ref at the game probably thought it was a wig. Players are not allowed to wear jewellery because of their personal safety so why can’t they be obliged to wear hair nets or bathing caps?
  19. Seating there is unallocated so you might find it easier to move to an unobstructed seat. I am 73 and not classified as disabled but I find it quite a strain to have to stand for long periods. It’s one reason why I rarely go to away games.
  20. Wasn’t he also the VAR ref for the Leicester 0-9 where he sent off Bertrand?
  21. Britannia? We’ve never been on that one. I’d be interested in your views. We love cruising and have spent something like 550 nights on board about 36 cruises and have seen all sorts of wonderful places all over the world. Highlights have been Cape Horn and the Falklands, the Panama and Suez Canals, Australia, Hawaii, several transatlantics, Norway, Spitsbergen, Iceland and lots more European ones of course. Going from Southampton avoids the awful airports and flying. The Canadian Rockies are on my list and I would love to do a fly-drive trip there before the insurance premiums get to high on account of our ages and medical conditions.
  22. He’s 79 FFS, not far off 80.
  23. Good grief you people are so simple. "Seemingly forgets" are the operative words. If you actually watch the clip you might notice that when he holds his hand out again it is in a different orientation from when he makes the handshake. For the handshake his hand rotates to the left. When he holds it out again it rotates to the right. One is a closing gesture the other something quite different. Only someone with an agenda could interpret it the way that you and GBNEWS do. GBNEWS is the Farage Fan Club. 'nuff said.
