I’ve just seen MOTD. Their first goal was ridiculous. Salisu seems to leave it to McCarthy who decides that he’s better off staying on his line instead of stepping three yards forwards and catching it or at least punching it away. He has now become a joke of a goalkeeper but why was he chosen to play instead of Forster? Any ideas? For their third goal Stephens does his usual trick of ball watching instead of picking up the runner coming in behind him. If we have to go through this season with Stephens and McCarthy as first choice then we are in trouble. Replace them both and we should be ok. Still, nobody ever got relegated on the first day of the season.

I don’t know what was going through his head for their first goal. A dolly drop of a ball drops into the goal area only four yards out yet somehow he is so terrified that he stays on his line. That ball almost touches the ground before it’s volleyed in.

RFID means Radio Frequency IDentification and is the way that almost all contactless cards are read electronically, especially debit and credit cards. Basically it means the same sort of season ticket cards that we have been using for the past few seasons. Calling the process a ‘download’ is misleading. The card is your identifier. When you buy a ticket for a game the turnstile system is notified that your card is a valid ticket/pass to get into the ground. No information is actually sent onto the card itself.

Do you think that having a long contract plays a part in their poor performance? A lack of motivation maybe?

Perhaps we should wait for the cheque to clear before letting on about his deficiencies?

It's the other way around. It's not acting like that that makes them successful. It's being successful that lets them act like that.
