Yes, it’s all about opinions, but what is the basic difference between the Long and Jesus incidents? For the record I didn’t think either was a penalty but was Jesus pushed, tripped or otherwise fouled? Fouled enough for him to stop and throw himself to the ground? I haven’t looked at the incident since but I can’t stand this modern interpretation of the Laws of Football. Thirty years ago he would have been laughed off the pitch.

I didn’t see a penalty for City. The push on Long had a better claim. And two minutes extra time. Really?
-
More dive than penalty. Was it more of a penalty than the shove on Long?
-
If anything I thought we looked better before they were subbed off.
-
But they were right, weren’t they?

That wasn't our strongest side. We started with Smallbone so we effectively had only ten men.
-
That’s ok as long as you can still find it.

I agree. To kick out at a player with no chance of getting the ball should be violent conduct and not serious foul play. The punishment should be the same as it would be for a kick at another player anywhere on the pitch.
-
In an ideal world I’d like both to go down but I’d settle for Everton this season and Newcastle the next.

My car was already covered in dust but when I put my wipers on this morning there was muddy water flying everywhere.
-
Agreed. So what was the thinking behind starting with Smallbone on Sunday?

Burnley and Brighton games re-arranged in April
Whitey Grandad replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I went by train to the game at Brighton a couple of years ago. I bought a first class ticket thinking that it would give me a better chance of getting a seat but the train was crammed and I had to stand all the way. For the return journey an extra train was laid on. This was on a Saturday. God help those who want to go on a Sunday. -
Ukraine is a sovereign country and it it wants to elect a load of Nazis isn’t that up to them?
-
From a comment on the BBC website, “Man United's gross transfer spend is £1.4 billion over the past 10 years and since 2011 they've won two Champions League knock-out ties.”
-
Ukraine is mainly populated by Ukrainians.

Substitutions need to be slicker. What’s the point of an led display that nobody can read and that can only handle one change at a time. What was wrong with the white cards that they used to hold up?

Engineering works are more prevalent on a Sunday than a Saturday. -
Without mentioning the ‘unfair advantage’ that the billions of £ have given Chelsea.

An opportunity for him to right his wrongs.

It always has been better. Three o’clock on a Saturday afternoon is traditional football. -
Bugger. That’s his summer holidays knackered. Where else might he go?
-
It’s an awful idea. The beauty of football compared with other team sports is the continuous ebb and flow and the excitement that this generates. Constant substitutions, sit-down timeouts, VAR delays are all killing this aspect of the sport. It’s a team game and not a squad game.
-
Do such away season tickets include Cup games, do we know?
-
Possibly, but all the substitutions would scupper that. Plus the sit-down timeouts.
