  1. Manning is an adequate footballer. Stephens is just inadequate.
  2. And saves their wages.
  3. From what I was watching he won every header against them including of course the goal.
  4. Steady on ! That's my height. The same as Paul Newman and Robert Redford. But they're not real men. Apparently.
  5. Now let me think.. Nah, I've got nothing.
  6. My question is a general point. Winning instead of drawing is worth three times as many points, as we all know. You're ignoring the other 24 games. Plus conveniently dismissing the two losses either side of the run. I repeat, the fact that there wew no losses in the middle of this run is not significant. We also had runs of losses. Any perception of it does not reference any other teams. Winning the first ten games is good irrespective of what other teams do. In your example we would be at least two points ahead of these rivals.
  7. Out of position a lot and tends to play football with his hands.
  8. Over the season, Leicester W31 D4 L11 +48 Ipswich. W28 D12 L6 +35 Leeds W27 D9 L10 +38 Saints W26 D9 L11 +24 Leicester finished 10 points above us and Ipswich 9. You seem to be awfully proud of a lot of draws. This is not ten pin bowling where the sequence of results give you more points. Move a couple of our 11 defeats into the middle of that 'run' and see how many points we lose. This may come as a shock to you but, the sequence of results does not affect your points total!
  9. Does anybody care? (apart from you 😉)
  10. Really? It was nothing special and we gained nothing on our rivals. Please answer me this. Which is better, 30 draws or 15 wins and 15 defeats?
  11. 'Longest unbeaten run' was a statistical quirk. We didn't get many points out of it.
  12. If he wouldn't do things differently then he hasn't learnt much.
  13. Not me. I disliked him for his turgid football and dismissal of Europe.
  14. That's a frightening thought.
  15. Usually when I'm on a cruise with lots of Americans they say "What do you think of Trump" when they find out that I am British. On my current cruise to Alaska I haven't heard a tweet about him. In Seattle there was an advert on TV by a second hand car company saying that since the sanctions they aren't getting any second hand Canadian cars and they seemed desperate for some more stock.
  16. Last game in our season ticket seats. Should we be glad or sad that it has all come to an end?
  17. Yes it was and we've all long forgotten about it. I just wanted to make the general point that falling to the ground or not does not influence a referee despite what the commentators and a lot of fans think. In this case he'd have been more likely to have got a yellow card for simulation. Let's celebrate our open top bus parade instead.
  18. A hell of a lot less than if we had a president.
  19. Not enough for me. He just lost both his bearings and his balance. Whether a player falls over or not is irrelevant.
  20. Other styles of play are available.
  21. Had we played that way all season we might have got a point every three games or so and ended up around...
  22. They kicked us out from the central Kingsland after all our loyalty through the lean years so our current seats mean nothing anyway.
