  1. I'm afraid that for some people winning is everything nowadays. The EFL game against Sunderland was an example. A terrible game lit up by one moment of brilliance from Boufal. The FA Cup home game against Norwich was even worse. Thank goodness we scarped a goal in injury time and avoided another 30 minutes
  2. Not at all. I'm happy with real football, the sort that gets played in the lowere divisions, the sort where the players actually put in some effort.
  3. At least he's cut out the horrendous finishing. There were bugger all attempts against Hull
  4. I feel your dull pain too.
  5. Scoring that penalty and winning 1-0 would not have made Saturday any better, for me. I also had to sit through the home cup games wagainst Norwich and Sunderland which were both awful to watch and both of which we won 1-0. Winning is definitely not the be-all and end-all. League position is not important to me either. if we're above 17th and below 7th then I couldnt give a toss.
  6. But if he is to leave at that point then the players should be privately informed or their agents will be working overtime for the next three weeks.
  7. I would never let him and I suspect many others feel the same.
  8. Er... from what I recall you don't go to many home games?
  9. It looked to me like a traditional go-slow. Sometimes called a work-to rule.
  10. Would you trust him with a load of money? If he can't motivate the current lot then why should he be any better with more expensive players?
  11. I remember discussing this with Ivan Golac. He said that as a manager he liked to leave three players up front so that the other team would have to keep four back to counter them.
  12. I could have written that myself "...the man regarded in his homeland as Arsene Wenger's protegé" ? I see a solution coming up. If only we could persuade Wenger to stand down.
  13. What struck me on Saturday was the number of our players who had their heads down and were just strolling through the actions.
  14. Get rid of one manager or several players? It's a lot cheaper to change the boss.
  15. Please don't remind me
  16. All this for me. I don't care who the manager is provided we play with pace and ambition. If I wanted to be sent to sleep I could buy some pills.
  17. Any paying customer has a right to demand and expect some sort of effort and entertainment. Otherwise you might as well take a crossword or puzzle book to the game. These games have been especially poor. Man City, WBA, Bournemouth, Hull
  18. Yes Bertrand, but his was a subtle glancing header. We are lacking an extra dimension if we always have to play on the ground. Austin and J-Rod would add an extra option, when available.
  19. It's a observation. Far more supporters watch home games than away ones. If you have a season ticket and don't/can't do away games then you will have a totally different view of the season than someone who mainly goes to away games. For home supporters this has been a crap season with boring football and a desperate lack of goals. If all you care about is league position and points then maybe attractive football in front of 30,000 of your paying customers is not your priority.
  20. We are weak in the air. When was the last time we scored from a thumping header?
  21. Can you separate home and away figures from that? There is a big difference between our home and away results. Against Hull at halftime we had a record of zero shots. That's not zero on target, that's zero shots in total. And one corner.
  22. Well, sideways actually but I get your point.
