  1. A mate eh? I've not been the same since my heart operation, I blame the tablets. I'm on beta-blockers and ACE inhibitors. The beta-blockers are to stop me getting excited and the others are to keep my blood vessels dilated. If you, or your mate, are concerned then what's wrong with a trip to the doctor? There is one test to give an indication of whether it's physical or psychological. Most men get an erection in the early morning. If you take a strip of stamps (don't have to be first class:)) and wrap them around the base of the object in question and lightly gum them together then if you have had an 'event' during the night the perforations will have been torn. Good luck
  2. Indeed. All that foreign aid and we can't even protect our own countryside.
  3. Done, hope all goes well. Coventry are a proper club.
  4. Yeah, right She would say that, wouldn't she. It's a standard comment when someone has been persuaded to fall on their sword, in return for a big pay-off of course.
  5. An interesting statistic from The Mail today: 3. Fulham might be bottom of the table but they are working hard to get out of it – the EA Sports performance data showed only one team on Saturday collectively ran more miles than the 72.8 which Rene Meulensteen’s side covered. Trouble was that side was opponents Southampton who managed 74.7, with Adam Lallana and Morgan Schneiderlin sharing top spot with 7.7 miles each. 6. Didn't Kenwyne get a game or two?
  7. For some strange reason I read that as 'all the staff I was humping'. I really must wash my mind out with soap and water.
  8. Where exactly? All my family are from Enfield/Edmonton and my wife's were from Barnet.
  9. What's not to like?
  10. That depends on whether we paid the full amount up front.
  11. Too may stripes.
  12. That's normally only on the first of the month, before midday.
  13. It usually is a let down. I tend to agree, we're relatively safe, plan for the summer and next season. This is the first time I can remember where we are in a position to give the youngsters some experience of playing in the big time.
  14. Fascinating. Any more details? Location? Video?
  15. Yes indeed. Great lad, great attitude, just not quite good enough for the top level but there's nothing wrong with that.
  16. It's probably for protection. It was originally designed to protect gamekeepers' heads. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/8045026/History-of-the-Bowler-Hat.html
  17. In some ways I feel a bit sad. I desperately wanted him to be good but the d!ckhead has let everybody down.
  18. He invented Dynamite and also owned Bofors. He wanted to be remembered for something other than blowing things up or killing people.
  19. Thanks and good luck.
  20. It's more likely that he was not sure that Brown Hadn't touched it. Still, as you say it's ancient history now.
  21. Brown touches the ball onto Gastón's toe which then kicks it in the direction he's running so although it looks as though Brown only brushes the ball he did momentarily change its direction. It was the follow-through that made it a foul, for me.
  22. Having seen it again, I think Rose catches the back of the player's leg before he plays the ball, which is a foul. He's not running towards goal, however, so a yellow card would have been appropriate.
  23. Borehamstiff we locals called it.
