I must admit that when I saw the shots of the players celebrating I was wondering what thoughts were going through the heads of those who must be considered fringe players. At the very least they will have 'promoted to the Premier League' written on their CVs. But I agree, as Winston Churchill said: "We may allow ourselves a brief period of rejoicing; but let us not forget for a moment the toil and efforts that lie ahead".

West Ham home. Good solid win over the pre-season favourites. West Ham v Reading was also significant. A draw there would probably have seen us champions. Skates home was also a setback.
