We need him on the bench if Davis is playing.

I think it depends on the outcome of Barnard's local difficulties. If we lose him for a couple of months things could look different.
-
That's how I feel about him.

Home draw please, my daughter and her family are coming to stay that weekend and she's only coming for the football.

I once asked Richard Hall if the crowd made any difference. He said that most of the time he was concentrating so hard that he did't notice us.

I was just having a dig. They should change the FA Cup rules such that if the host club doesn't get paid the ticket money then the away team forfeit the tie.

Have any of you used rubber to enhance performance?

It's showing as operating on thewebsite: http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/timetable/details?id=1&return=false&callingPage=t I think it's only partial closures to some services and this website is supposed to be up to date. Aren't they working on the tunnel? -
By the way, have we been paid the money due on the ticket sales for the (illegal) 4-1 win yet?
-
That's not how I remember it. The image-rights claims are subject to another pre-existing court investigation and could not therefore be considered in this case. There was no mention of them being 'not valid'.

I went a couple of times in the early 80s when I did some work for Dolby. My missus came for the first visit and spent the day doing the Bay tours whilst I was working. I think she went to Alcatraz twice, well worth a visit. We hired a car and did 1800 miles in 8 days. Over the Bridge to Muir Woods for the redwoods, 300ft high, south to the Mariposa Grove for the giant sequoias, Carmel and Pebble Beach are a must as is Yosemite, fabulous place. You can get to Reno & Carson City in Nevada. I always wanted to go to Bodie, the ghost town, but didn't have time. North to the wineries in Sonoma and Simi might be a laugh. Sausalito is very twee but it is a centre of the gay community. All this is more for touring with a loved one but I'm sure you and your mates will have a ball.

I'm afraid that when it comes to buying quality players Saints are at the bottom of the food chain, snapping up the crumbs from the rich men's tables. It's not until the Premier League teams sort out their striking options that the Championship get their turn and then we get to fight over the leftovers with the other League 1 outfits. Our financial clout might get us a bite at the next level up, but I suspect that it won't be until the end of the window that we hear any substantial news.

Bless, he's got to have something to cling to or he might go insane. (Corp that is, not mog)

Indeed. That's why the red card offence was changed from 'foul and abusive language' to 'offensive, abusive, or insulting language or gestures'. It is quite possible for one player to swear at another, but if no offence is taken then an offence may not have been committed. On the other hand, you can insult an opponent without swearing.

Fetai: Southampton vil have mig (Fetai:Southampton wants me)

If he's out of contract then can't he join at any time, even outside the transfer window? -
But that would cup-tie him and reduce his value.

For a moment there I thought you meant Glenn Hoddle. Don't let Dalek know, he might have a seizure.

Something happens to young lads when they get a few mates in their car. They feel that they have to show off. This is a lot more difficult with a moped. I used to drive a moped yself, a NSU 'Quickly' (don't let the name fool you) back in the sixties and I think my insurance cost £5 a year. Driving across north london to see my missus (not then) in january was the coldest that I have ever been, but at least it gives you mobility.

We stayed there in February a couple of years ago for three nights on the way back from the Maldives. The El Habtoor was the only place we could get, but there are lots better (and pricier). My wife loved the sybaritic excess of it all. It was a bit chilly to sit outside in the evenings, you would have need a jacket or jumper, and the sea was too cold for even a paddle but sitting around the pool in the daytime with the temperature in the mid twenties was very pleasant. I'm afraid that the Maldives have spoilt us for anywhere else, but it was well worth the stop on the way back.

Hmmm... a plum draw in the 4th round away at Old Trafford, say, could strengthen the old transfer kitty somewhat. I'll leave such matters to the experts. I'm sure there are quite a few who read this board.

It's well worth considering legal protection for an extra £20 to £25 a year. It will help you to reclaim uninsured losses.

Exeter reject Brighton bid for playmaker Ryan Harley
Whitey Grandad replied to stu0x's topic in The Saints
Look at it this way.... If we buy him then it stops Brighton from strengthening their squad.
