I don't believe there is anybody in the country who could get away with that. Claiming VAT back on petrol is way more trouble than it is worth.

Will the increase in VAT to 20% reduce their income, should they choose to pay it to HMRC? If they keep the ticket prices the same then they will receive a smaller proportion of every new ticket sale, as will every other club in the country.

That's not completely true. Several of us asked the bus drivers on Tuesday what was going to happen yesterday. One said he had no idea and the other said it was the first time that there would be no buses on New Year's Day.

We are grossly overtaxed and overworked and all you get are comments like 'it's easy for you, at least you've got a job', or 'there's always someone worse off than you'.
