  1. Showed it on last night's 'Late Kick Off' goal montage (2 mins 15 in). http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sdgzy/Late_Kick_Off_South_South_West_and_West_2010_Episode_16/ Morgan's also on there @ 2.25
  2. Beat me to it! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11681_6146404,00.html
  3. 31. 30 for Saints, one for Rovers. The places that list 29 gave Papa Waigo the goal v Rovers, when Rickie's header went in off the bar. The club gave it to Rickie because it was definitely in before PW followed it in.
  4. Yes I can't see it either. A decent enough player but never worth what we paid for him nor what we paid him tbh.
  5. No but he presumably had to get back! The predictions were that the airspace over Switzerland, Italy and France wer going to be closed on Sunday.
  6. I think this stems from a throw away comment somebody at the club said to Adam Blackmore during the game and he has reported it as gospel. He wouldn't have stayed away because he was angry at not making the play-offs but he may have decided that because it was basically a dead rubber and because of the ash cloud, it wasn't worth firing up the private jet for.
  7. I was talking about Armstrong!
  8. As opposed to 'the boy'! (referring to your previous post).
  9. I think it's more the milestone TBH. Long after he's hung up his boots, he can tell his grand-kids that he scored 20 in a season, much more memorable than 19. I would imagine in AL's case it's akin to scoring a maiden century at cricket and not being stranded 99 not out.
  10. I make it 51. 42 league games, 6 FA Cup and 3 League Cup.
  11. AL in team of the week. http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/7f/4e/0,,10794~151167,00.pdf
  12. A bit of a recovery by Ervine and Pothas: 233-5.

  14. I noticed at the end of the game, during the lap of honour, when there was two decent verses of OWTSGMI, there were still people trying to clap along to speed it up. They need to learn to sit on their hands or put them in their pockets. I have no problem with clapping appropriately. The normal speed OWTS (at the Dell) used to be accompanied by stamping on the upper west/east stand wooden floor boards. People need to remember it is a MARCH, the clue is in the title! Try marching to the 1000 RPM version sung now, It would be more like a Benny Hill sequence.
  15. Am I suffering from Deja vu here??
  16. Millwall. They're the best team of the 4 IMO. Swindon and Huddersfield won't manage another season like the current one and Charlton will have to off load players to balance the books.
  17. 'Extended' highlights http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8632666.stm
  18. Just a better word and sounds better IMO.
  19. 'Almost' fits better than 'nearly' but I digress!
  20. and the bloody speed it's sung!!
  21. It's a fair point TBH, seeing they reportedly have a new CEO. Anyone fathomed what he is actually doing at the club yet?
  22. 34 was the previous lowest. We finished bottom on 32 but would have stayed up this season.

  24. That's a good point actually (not Saintsweb sponsorship individually but sponsorship and advertising as a whole). The programme is made up of probably 25% advertising space, therefore withdrawing it means it must have cost the club not only the £3 per magazine income, but a refund and maybe compensation on the advertising space sold. I generally don't buy a programme but usually do first and last game of the season but forgot on Saturday (probably because I didn't see a seller) and didn't know anything about programmegate until I got back to the car and they were discussing it on Solent. I would have been very p!ssed off though if my child was the mascot, therefore the prized souvenir of the programme with the kid's name in it, (which would normally be signed by some, if not all of the players) would not have been available. Likewise if it coincided with the child's birthday and they had missed out of being mentioned on the Junior Saints page.
