I don't think he's the finished article by any stretch of the imagination but I think he will turn into a top CB in time and will only get better playing with the likes of Perry and Jaidi. Can certainly see much more potential in him than Lancashire, that's for sure.

Bell has played well. Agree with Ian Botham that we should have sent Swann in ahead of Broad once Prior was out. We lost momentum in the last hour before lunch.

This is all true but the start we made meant that the most we could realistically expect was to make the play-offs in 5th or 6th position and that IMO that is still on. Leeds, Charlton, Norwich and Colchester are not catchable but the rest most certainly are, with the team we have plus one or two tweaks here and there.
