I think you're right DD but I still think 46,000 is too ambitious. They would have been better off sticking with the 40k lower W/C limit and then the 30/35k they are more likely to get, wouldn't look too lost.

Why should it? I decided to go last night on Monday evening. Booked on-line and got the cheaper price and picked up from the ticket office on arrival. Much easier and quicker for the T/O on match days to deal with pre-paid collections, than having to take cash or cards and print the tickets. I can't believe there are too many that decide to go on a whim, a couple of hours before the game. Most people will know, or decided well in advance that they are going to the game and if this saves people waiting until the last minute to purchase their tickets, so be it.

FIFA can still veto any city/bid they think will not be able to deliver and add others in their place.
-
Eventually James moved to the left of a back 3 but when Thomas first came on (for 5/10 minutes), he was playing centre half, sweeping behind Trotman in a back four.

I think 35k is the standard allocation for each club. If a bigger club is playing a club that will not require their full allocation, then more will be made available. IIRC Luton ended up taking 43,000 last season but if the opponents are a club like Leeds (as seems likely), there won't be any extra tickets available, unless the FL/Club Wembley release some of the corporate/sponsors allocation.

According to Wiki the record attendance for the final is 80,841, for the 1988 Final match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley at Wembley.

No, it's week commencing 18th January. If they're televised, one will be Tuesday, the other Wednesday.

When we changed to 4-4-2 he was one of the 2 not LMF. Waigo went there originally, then after Norwich scored, we went to a sort of 4-1-2-2-1 with Wotton holding Mellis and Hammond widish and Waigo and Lallana behind Lambert. That didn't work at all and allowed Norwich to control the game but that id NOT Lallana's fault it was the system's. Eventually with the 3-5-2, we managed to get a foothold in the game and the rest is history.
-
He only played LMF in the first half, when Morgan was playing!!. In the second half we had a selection of players playing there. Waigo, Hammond (who was terrible there btw) and latterly Harding. You can't blame AL for not staying left when he had been pushed up top! HTH

This form the OS: Bialkowski maintained his own impressive contribution to the team in recent weeks by helping Saints to their fifth successive win in all competitions with him between the posts, which has whetted the youngster's appetite for more.

Strange how Norwich couldn't handle and seemed frightened to death by Antonio. Whereas his impact against Tranmere on Saturday, was minimal at best.

Certainly for most of the second half. Lambert's negative tactics in the last 10/15 minutes caused them to lose the tie, by handing the initiative back to us.

Just seen the highlights and the Lino's flag didn't go up for the through ball. It may have gone up afterwards but out of shot of the camera. I thought Holt was off-side when I saw it live and he definitely looks goal side of Harding, when the ball is played, although it's not totally conclusive.

England United make their decision today on which cities will be involved in their bid and obviously, Southampton is not on there. Interestingly though (reported on SNN) the final decision is with FIFA and they can veto cities on that bid and ADD others. All may not be lost then?

Onions bowling well. Lunch 70-2.
-
A poor game tactically by [Paul] Lambert. Taking off Hoolahan and making a couple of defensive substitutions in the last 10 minutes (to shut up shop), handed us the initiative after they had comfortably controlled the majority of the second half.
-
About 2,000 people left the stadium believing we had lost.
-
Some "interesting" formations and tactics going on there. Not sure what we were playing at times in that second half. Had 5 different players playing wide left and 3 different playing wide right. Oh and James ending the game at CB? What was that about? Paid off in the end though. AP seems to have the Midas touch. Voted Papa as MoM.

I wasn't too bothered about him running on the pitch but was pretty p*ssed off with the timing of it because it caused Antonio's pen to be delayed, which he duly missed. It could well have cost us. The little git could have at least waited until it was one of their penalties before running on.
-
Lol at Grant Holt! Cheating fat b@stard!!! Goal scored in the seconds added on for his blatant writhing trying to get Antonio (?) sent off.

Of the top 11 (appearance wise), Davis, Trotman, Wotton and Thomas aren't currently in the first team. So if we play Trotman, Wotton and Thomas, we only need 3 of the others (say Jaidi, Lambert and Lallana) and we are fielding a team that qualifies under the competition rules but in theory, still resting 7 of our current first XI (Bart of course has to play).
-
Apparently Neal Trotman has a total of 14 appearances (1 being as a sub) and Neil Trotman has played twice.
-
Goal keepers can get special dispensation to play under the "emergency loan" system because of their specialist position.

On their Twitter feed but I haven't seen it anywhere else. #saintsfc striker David Connolly is out of tomorrow night's JPT tie v Norwich with an injury. Trotman set to play - it's live on Solent. about 24 hours ago from web http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8410648.stm
