Papa's not particularly quick. He's ok (pace wise) in the same way Connolly is. Antonio is quick, in a headless chicken type of way but we lack pace in the centre of midfield and along the back four.
Was he? Several contenders but James wasn't one of them. The official MoM was Trotman and if you look at the poll on here I believe Schneiderlin got it.
Not sure it's totally an either/or question. Papa is more of a central striker (who can play wide) and Antonio is an out and out wide player. Papa is by far and away the better footballer but Antonio does offer something to the team in terms of pace, width and unpredictability.
Money obviously has a bearing but I'm convinced we could have done a hell of a lot better last season with the squad we had, with a half decent manager. The way we went accelerated administration IMO because it caused the alarming fall in attendances and therefore cashflow problems.
My understanding is that both sides get an allocation of 35,000. If one of the teams do not require their full allocation (which is irrelevant if it is us and Leeds), more tickets can become available (Luton took 43,000).
Every saleable seat was sold, apart from the corporates, which were as full as they have been for at least 2 seasons. The Itchen/Northam block was segregation and not sold. There will have been the odd season ticket holder that was away for xmas and couldn't make it or had other commitments but I'm pretty sure that the stated attendance was a correct reflection of how many were in the ground.
Subbed because before he came on we were totally in control of the match and after he was subbed we were totally in control of the match. In between, whilst he was on the pitch, we fell apart into a total shambles (against 10 men).
