Surely it's the same with the rest of the football pyramid, if their ground doesn't conform, they won't be allowed into the league? I'd rather that than players shying away from taking penalties. The more players we've got who are confident to take penalties, the better IMO.

He was very poor first half when he was vastly outnumbered in central midfield. He was vastly improved 2nd half when he had JWP along side. Possibly our best player after half time.

When I was growing up. Arlott was the sound of radio commentary but I thik he did do the Sunday John Player League on tv. Test matches and Gillette and B&H cup games on tv were covered by Richie and the great Jim Laker (all on the BBC).
