I agree with the first sentence but not the second. That should have read "And then the next one" and so on!

We used to sing "And we fight with all our might!" and the last line from memory (a long time ago) used to change according to who we were playing. So if it were, say Liverpool, it would be "And we're gonna show the Scousers how to score!"

Does that mean he was being criticised? I don't think so. Pards will want more goals from midfield, which is fair enough but strikers get criticised for not scoring goals not midfielders. Anybody attending the games know how much Hammond adds to that midfield, he's been one of the players of the season, so far. If he's adding goals, then all the better but "answering his critics?" Bullsht!!

The words "window for a better club" was used in the OP. I think when Williams left, he had fallen out with Lawrie Mac and it was beneficial to both SW and LM that he moved on. I believe we did get a decent fee for him. It didn't work out for him at Arsenal and LM moved onto Sunderland anyway, so in hindsight not a good move. However, he may never have been the same player with us either, we will never know. We do know that we did get the SW's best years.

No Stockport's was applied last season but they already had enough points to mean it didn't affect there status in League 1. I believe they are still in admin and could possibly get additional points if their CVA is not accepted.

TBF to SW, he had been with Saints for 9 seasons when he eventually moved (to his boyhood team). That 83/84 season, there wasn't a better player in the country. He moved on to Arsenal and never reached those heights again but one cannot say he used Saints as a stepping stone because we were actually a better team than Arsenal.

The middle bit is the old directors box. I think (could be wrong) that is where the extra 150 tickets came from. They don't sell the whole stand because it is non-allocated seating and need a certain amount of slack to allow everyone to be able to find seats.
