The trouble is that Bart's career as stagnated because he doesn't play any football. I few pre-season friendlies, a handful of reserve games and a couple of U21 internationals, hardly prepares a keeper for first team football, when they are required. He needs a move to get some proper game-time under his belt, whether permanent or out on loan. I think that Poke's loan at Torquay has helped him leapfrog BB because, if nothing else it has improved his confidence.

And somebody like WGS is not going to sign a 2 year contract if the club his selling him a 4/5 year plan. If they believe him to be the right person to execute the plan, they will contract him for the full period. If it all goes pear-shaped after a couple of seasons, WGS (or whoever) will have the security of a nice big pay off and our guys have the money, which makes that not such a big deal.

In the right system, he'll do ok for you (not set the world alight but ok). Trouble we have with most of our players, they are square pegs in round holes. Yes he did ok. Played most of the game, tired a bit towards the end but looked to me like he would be a decent acquisition.

Only played 1st half got a knock but didn't really get into the game being stuck out wide right of a midfield 5 (which just didn't work).
