TBH 90% of footballers are mercenaries. Gone are the days of the local boy makes good and spends his whole career at one club. That is unless the club is as big as Manure or Real Madrid and the 'boy' is good enough to hold down a position for their whole career (Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Raul etc.). Or the club in question is a ****ty little one and the 'boy' is good enough to play there but not good enough to go elsewhere.

From what I can gather, from a dodgy Hungarian translation package, is that we have loaned him for the 'spring' season to have a good look at him and if he impresses we have an option to sign him on a permanent 2 year deal. Could be completely wrong though!!

This is the problem, for me! None of us know the true story on just about anything that happens in this club. Can you believe the OS? Direct quotes from the club? Other hangers on and Directors? The local or national written press? The local or national electronic media? The internet (including anyone who posts here, UI, 606 or similar) ITKers? KFAlls? Or the simply make it up's? I've got to the point where I tend to believe none of the above and make my own mind up. All we know is the club wanted and tried several times to get Rudi off the books, when they failed (for whatever reason) they treated him pretty shabilly but when he has played he has been one of our better players (because he is a class above, just like we are now finding with Saga). Now it seems he is here at least until the end of the season and he should be picked (and IMO either wide left or in the hole).

I think the difference is that Crouch was quick to realise his mistake (the catalyst was the Bristol Rovers cup game. He may have kept them on if it weren't for that, who knows?). Lowe however, doesn't make mistakes (in his mind) and I suspect the only reason that JP was relieved of his duties (oh, I mean resigned), was because of pressure applied by Wilde (who holds the balance of power) Cowan (who was left to carry the can during the Donny game) and Crouch himself.

I have absolutey no confidence in Wotte being able to keep us up. I am not 100% convinced that any of the other name mentioned (experienced managers) would manage to keep us up with the players available and from the position we are in but I would have more faith in the likes of Dowie or Boothroyd than I have in Wotte.

Yes, but that would just be money going straight into their back pockets, instead of financing team strengthening or paying off some of the overdraft.
