I guess my previous negative comments could put me in that category, but I agree he did have a good game last night. Made a couple of decent saves and his long distance kicking (and throwing) was excellent. Very encouraging.
-
Yup. He reckons "we made it difficult". He must have been watching a totally different game from me because from what I saw, we basically just invited Leicester to attack us time and time again due to an incredibly naïve defensive shape. If he genuinely thinks we made it difficult for them then that's ringing some serious alarm bells.
-
I reckon we will successfully appeal that red card. Ridiculously harsh.
-
Fuck off is that worth a red.
-
Ienacho should have made it 5.

We've already conceded nearly half as many as Burnley did all last season. After SIX games.
-
They've made a few mistakes but they have kept a decent defensive shape to stop us getting through and been clinical on the counter. A perfect away performance really.
-
More possession and more shots doesn't mean shit if we're not even testing their keeper. Tapping it around in the final third and hitting tame long range shots straight at the keeper does not qualify as "outplaying them".

Yet again, completely undone from one of our own corners. This is unforgiveable. Starting to have some very serious doubts about RM now. He hasn't learned a damn thing from all the obvious lessons we have been taught so far this season. We need to go back to basics for out next game now. We've simply got to learn to defend competently before we start thinking about attacking.

I'll be amazed if we can keep it to 3 in the second half. Our defensive setup is just pathetic. So naive.
-
Well at least it's not going to be another 9-0.
-
Blatant offside - would have been ruled out by VAR. But let's not detract from how utterly fucking abysmal that defending was.

Fucking shambles. Utter fucking shambles.

That free kick 😳

Oh fuck the fuck off. Not learned a single lesson from the Sunderland debacle then. Gonna be a long night.
-
It's not like he was going to be in their starting 11 anytime soon though.

Good point. I did wonder why they evacuated the pool after I got out.

New Chemical Brothers album - For That Beautiful Feeling. A superb return to form after their somewhat disappointing previous offering.

Matt LeTiss (evening with Matt in Shrewsbury)

Correct. The primary reason that these things usually take so long is the delays caused waiting for funding. With Covid, there were rich philanthropists queueing up to throw money at it so we could get it rolled out and get the global economy moving again ASAP. -
I watched some of that game yesterday. A few minutes after the Tom Curry incident one of the Argie players clattered and England player in the head from a late attempt to block a kick upfield, and only got a yellow despite it looking a lot more reckless. The fact that Curry's was upgraded to red by the foul play review official and the other one wasn't didn't make any sense.

Yes, very scary. But that's an entirely different kind of caving. The ones Badger and I are talking about in Slovenia are tourist attractions with guided tours on purpose built gangways, and they are far more accessible. If you got ill in one of those, it wouldn't require a mammoth rescue operation. They are amazing places to visit.

Bohinj is stunning. We went in early April and it was virtually deserted. Did the long walk up to the waterfall and barely saw anyone. From there we got a train to Divača - a beautiful journey along the river valleys, and from there we visited the caves at Škocjan, which was an incredible experience.
