10 mins in and we haven't mounted any kind of serious attack yet, but Fulham have got in behind us on numerous occasions. Troubling.

He did

A German airline flying in emergency supplies of food for us. But I'm sure they still hate us and just want to punish us (or some other ill-informed and outdated nationalistic bollocks).

Interesting. Your argument here is that Brexit is being enacted by the very people the voters chose to represent them. Except when they didn't, of course.
-
Like Zac Goldsmith?
-
And yet that lot combined got a larger share of the popular vote than the Tories and Brexit party did.

Another of our former academy products, Jason McCarthy, has managed 2 OGs in his last 5 appearances for Wycombe. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55284003

I think you know full well that is not how cabinet appointments work, and they have nothing to do with democracy. Case in point - Zac Goldsmith lost his seat at the last election. So what did Johnson do? He made him a lord instead and parachuted him back into his post as an environment minister despite his constituents deciding they didn't want him in that role anymore. Why? Because he's a loyal Brexiteer. What is democratic about that?

I'm not talking about the people who voted for it. I'm talking about the people charged with carrying it out. In order to "get Brexit done", the ERG extremists had to seize control of the party by purging all of the more moderate and intelligent MPs. Thus we are left with pinning all our hopes of a decent exit deal on the likes of Johnson, Truss, Gove, Raab, Davis et. al. None of whom are in post for any level of aptitude for their role, but solely because they are loyal to the cult of Brexit and will simply do what they are told.

No, I mean they would recognise what a terrible idea it is and choose not to do it at all.
-
That's not a paradox though is it.
-
You mean like the one with Japan? The one that the terminally dim Liz Truss has negotiated that will leave us worse off than if we had just rolled over the provisions in the EU-Japan deal? Sorry, you're going to have to explain to me how that qualifies as a 'clear benefit' of leaving the EU.

This puts me in mind of something I saw posted somewhere recently - the Brexit Paradox: Any government with the required degree of competence and intellect to actually enact Brexit properly, wouldn't.

Gutted. Really took the game to them but the gulf in quality was evident. Losing Ings is a massive blow. When Adams went off and we had Tella and Nlundulu up front we just lost any cutting edge in attack. Not the kind of game to be blooding these player in. City will be very relieved they held on for the win. Not often you see them parking the bus and time wasting. We should take heart from that. Walcott was excellent and I would like to see him keep his place there instead of Armstrong. Vestergaard was immense again and deserved his MOTM award. Another excellent game for KWP as well. Getting JWP and Romeu booked in the first half maybe cost us a little in aggression in the second. Djenepo and Redmond both very poor today. Ref - Mike Dean innit. How he didn't book Gundogan for that cynical foul on Walcott was disgraceful. Then a minute later couldn't wait to get the card out for JWP. Terrible display from him today.

And again. No-one able to get on the end of that one but it was a lovely ball.
-
He played a delightful ball in just now that caused a bit of panic in the City defence.
-
Good save Macca.
-
Yeah, you just know it. We'll huff and puff and chasse an equaliser, and then they'll hit us with a sucker punch on the break.
-
Phew. Bertrand switched off completely then. Got away with it. Was just about to say that City look to be happy to sit back and defend their 1 goal lead. Says a lot about us that they are showing us that much respect.
-
Now that is NOT a handball under the current rules. I really hate Mike Dean.
-
Might have been better to keep Djenepo on. And he was completely anonymous.
-
Deary me. Redmond's touch has abandoned him since he came on.
-
Yep. If it bounces off the knee at point blank range like that it's no pen. Oh Redders!!!
-
Redmond getting ready. Surely Djenepo being hooked. He's not been in this game at all.
-
Lucky. Should have been 0-2 there really.
