  2. I think it's more a combination of the uniforms and the evil looking make-up and facial expressions. Was always that way with DS9 as well. Mirrorverse Kira - the Intendant - was smokin' hot.
  3. "I've looked carefully at no-deal. I've assessed its consequences, and yes of course we could do it. The UK could certainly get through it. But be in no doubt: that outcome would be a failure of statecraft for which we would all be responsible". Boris Johnson - September 2019.
  4. It's not just his appearance and his body language Wes, although they are part of the overall picture. It's everything about him. He was a total disaster as Mayor of London (garden bridge, anyone?). He was a total disaster as Foreign Secretary. He was sacked as a journalist for making up quotes. He has a chaotic, cavalier approach to everything and thinks it's all just a jolly jape. It's not like any of this is a secret. He has led a very public life, courting attention wherever he could. And all the evidence, going back even to his early appearances on HIGNFY, suggests that he is nothing more than an over-privileged, dissembling charlatan; a hopelessly out of his depth chancer with a delusional sense of superiority; a hollow, morally bankrupt, bloviating, incompetent narcissist with no discernible talent for anything other than self-promotion. That so many people have fallen for his charm and allowed him to manoeuvre himself into Number 10 makes me despair about the state of politics in this country.
  5. I very clearly added (indeed, started with) the caveat that it was not necessarily a reliable source of information. But come on Wes, it is entirely consistent with everything we know about Johnson's character and how he goes about his business. Look at the fucking state of him. His body language speaks volumes - he acts like a naughty schoolboy who is convinced he's going to be caught out for something at any moment. Is this really the man on whom you are pinning all your hopes to secure the best possible future for the UK? He's an utter embarrassment.
  6. Jesus fucking Christ! This is international diplomacy, the outcome of which will have extreme and lasting effects on the future prosperity of our country, not a high-school debating society FFS.
  7. Weirdly, it was only a couple of days ago I was wondering to myself if she was still alive, after I was talking to someone about the Carry On films. A real national treasure. Rest in peace Babs.
  8. Because humans have this curious tendency to go to extreme lengths to avoid ever having to admit they might have been wrong about something.
  9. I mean... do you think he genuinely has no idea that the ballots can be scanned an infinite number of times but still only be *counted* once due to the unique ID on them? And does he still not grasp the fact that GA did a manual recount and the result came out the same? I previously thought that he knows damn well none of this guff is true and is just trying to incite his base support, but I'm starting to wonder if he is genuinely that stupid.
  10. I'm hoping the ex-player curse is going to work in our favour for once. Edit: But of course they have Sharp and McGoldrick don't they.
  11. In one breath they are saying it's not related to Brexit, and in the next they say they were won over by the location - giving "access to supply chains and markets". But it absolutely, definitely, definitely isn't because of Brexit. In other completely unrelated news, Honda has had to suspend its UK manufacturing because of supply chain problems. Take one guess what the cause of that is.
  12. If he was left footed, maybe. Not a chance he would get a right footed shot over the wall and past the keeper at the near post from that position. It would have to be curled off the outside of his foot. He's good, but he's not Superman.
  13. In fairness to Jack, the replay clearly showed Crouch had hold of his shirt, but he was still a silly boy to put his hand up with the ball coming towards it. Especially as there was no VAR for that season.
  14. Oh Jesus. I've just seen that Paddy Power advert with Le Tiss & co. I can never un-see that! 😬
  15. I disagree with those saying JWP would have scored if it was given as a FK, not from that position on the right. If it was on the left, maybe. But there's a very good chance he would have put it straight on the head of Ings or JV to bury it instead.
  16. Christ they are labouring the point about that penalty decision on Sky aren't they!
  17. Very happy with the result of course, but I'm not sure we really deserved it.
  18. Surprised it's only 4 mins added on. Thought there was more than that just for the VAR penalty check.
  19. Initial contact was outside, but it looked like the contact that actually impeded KWP was inside. I have to assume that's the logic the VAR ref has applied.
  20. Ings on for Djenepo. Walcott moving to the left I assume.
  21. I think Djenepo has contributed more but he's a red card waiting to happen. I would hook him for Redmond.
