  2. Out of genuine interest, which of the things from his own mouth in these videos are you so opposed to?
  3. Can't quite work out what formation that is. 4-2-3-1 perhaps?
  4. If PEH's was worthy of a red then so was this.
  5. Has it occurred to any of you pr!cks having a pop at these people that maybe they might have mental health issues and that going to a football game and supporting however they choose is a welcome catharsis for them? No, I didn't think so. The real embarrassment here is that some apparently grown men seem to believe they have the sole right to dictate to other people how they should behave at a football match, and that those who don't conform must be 'mongs' or 'retards'. Have a f*cking word with yourselves.
  6. Everyone questioning his attacking threat on the basis of last night's game, remember we were away to Chelsea and he was up against one of the best attacking players in the world with Hazard. It's not unreasonable to believe he had been instructed not to commit himself forward too much. The one occasion I remember he did overlap and get down to the byline, he did really well. I would like to see how he does in a similar formation against the lesser teams before passing real judgement, but he looks a great prospect to me.
  7. One match per finger?
  8. I think that looks too close to a full strength team. I reckon RH will make more changes than that.
  9. Should we all just sit quietly on our hands then and clap politely when we score? Jeez. Lighten up mate. It's only people having fun. If you find it embarrassing then it says more about you than it does them I'm afraid.
  10. Yeah, I agree with this. A cup run would be a nice distraction for the fans, but we really need to put all our efforts into staving off relegation this season. It has to be the number one priority, and I imagine RH will view this cup game as an opportunity to have a look at a few more fringe players.
  11. Doesn't say what position he plays. Any ideas?
  12. OK, I'll stick a monkey on it then and blame you if it doesn't come in. But I expect I could cash out and double my money even if we lose the first 7 anyway, so it's win-win.
  13. It was never sold in the first place. It was just offered out to franchise. When the contracts end, the services can be brought back into state control without the need to buy anything.
  14. Thanks to the Tories' policy of privatisation, 70% of our railways are now owned by foreign states, meaning that a good chunk of the profit they make from over-charging British passengers goes directly into subsidising their own state-owned railway systems. https://www.rmt.org.uk/news/70-of-uk-rail-routes-now-owned-by-foreign-states/ Let's see you try and defend that.
  15. It's a competitive game, so yes it does.
  16. Or perhaps he might go the other way and try out some younger players like Slattery, or Hesketh now he's back from his loan at Burton.
  17. You have to assume that he has shown a real bad attitude in training or something, because RH seemingly wants to take a look at everyone in the squad but hasn't given him the slightest opportunity to prove himself in a competitive match yet, and he isn't completely devoid of talent. There must be something gone on, or he already has a move away lined up. Either way, I won't miss him. We finally seem to have a settled defence without him, and Stephens is a better deputy than he is.
  18. In this run of games we've played 5 of the top 6, getting draws against Utd and Chelsea, and beating Arsenal, and losing away to Spurs and home to City. I expect a lot of us would have been more than happy to take that beforehand, given our woeful form up to that point. Of course, it is soured somewhat by failing to get any points from other games that we should have done better in - namely WHU and Cardiff. But the green shoots of progress are there. We have some very winnable games coming up now. We really need to be beating Cardiff and Fulham at home, and realistically Palace as well. Leicester and Everton are both blowing hot and cold at the moment, and if we can put in a good performance and catch one of them on an off day we have a good chance of getting some 'unexpected' points as well I reckon.
  19. We had to sacrifice attacking threat for defensive organisation I thought. If we had tried to commit more players forward in attack we would have got mauled by Hazard & co. Worth the trade off IMO. If we had pacier wide men and a midfield who could pass better, it might have been different.
  20. Can't tell if you're joking or not
  21. A well organised and disciplined defensive display, at last. Back 3 looking more and more comfortable with each other now and they've all cut out the awful individual errors we were seeing so frequently. Very little threat in attack, but that's down to the lack of pace from the wide men mostly, and having to rely on Shane Long as a lone striker doesn't help matters either, but he's a good option if your objective is to grind out a 0-0. Very impressed with Gunn. I think McCarthy will have quite a battle to get back in now after that display. He wasn't seriously tested, but he was composed, saved everything you would expect him to, and knew when to come off his line early to snuff out a threat. We haven't seen that from a Saints keeper in quite some time (since Boruc, perhaps?). Disappointing that Burnley have leapfrogged us tonight (although you would expect them to beat a 10-man Huddersfield) and dropped us into the bottom 3, but there are more positives to take from tonight than negatives IMO. If we can carry on playing like that we will soon overtake Cardiff at least.
  22. It's beyond a joke isn't it.
  23. That's p*ssing on a few people's accumulators then. Mine included.
  24. Not sure. He looked just off to me.
