  1. I can't believe Sunderland are going to bloody stay up again aren't they. Getting right bored of seeing them down there year after year, clinging on like a turd that won't flush.
  2. WHU 0-3 Swansea!
  3. Who says he was referring to you???
  4. Swansea 2-0 up now!
  5. So I finally got round to watching the new Star Wars film the other day, after a few people told me it was surprisingly good. I thought it was every bit as sh*te as I expected it to be when it was first announced. Full of tired old cliches, massive plot holes, far too 'safe' (as you would expect a Disney film to be) and essentially just exactly the same story as the first film.
  6. You can add to that the high probability that Lamela will get a retrospective ban for his stamp on Fabregas as well.
  7. In a market where Raheem Sterling is worth £50m, and considering the new TV deal starting this year which will inflate transfer fees even more, I wouldn't be at all surprised if somebody was willing to pay that much for him.
  8. Well worth a read... http://www.thecanary.co/2016/04/28/how-the-establishment-is-trying-to-silence-corbyn-and-the-left-with-cries-of-anti-semitism/
  9. While Ken may not exactly be whiter than white, this latest episode seems to be another choreographed stunt by the BBC... http://www.newtekjournalismukworld.com/eileen-kersey/john-mann-pulls-bbc-stunt-ken-livingstone-suspended-from-labour Edit: In fact, if you watch the video of the confrontation, you can clearly see Mann look over to check if the cameras are rolling before he unleashed his tirade. Pathetic opportunism, aided and abetted by a heavily biased BBCDP crew (the Tory leanings of Andrew Neil and Laura Kuenssberg are not in any doubt) looking for a sensational way to undermine Labour. Just like the incident with the live resignation of Stephen Doughty.
  10. Looks like he might be available again soon. There is a huge, massive demonstration going on outside Bramall Lane right now... I'm not sure how he can survive this TBH.
  11. Nobody is making out they deserved it - they clearly didn't. I'm not sure how you arrive at that from what I posted. It's just a simple course of logic that if the fences weren't there then, regardless of what massive f*ckups the police made on the day, nobody would have died. The fences were there because of the culture of violence in football at the time. So, in a very small way, that contributed to the events, but nobody is suggesting it was the sole cause. Clearly the biggest cause was the disastrous handling of the situation by the police. You are correct when you say that the presence of the cages made effective crowd control even more essential, so the fact that it was handled by somebody with no experience and the wrong priorities makes it even more the police's fault.
  12. The stand was unsuitable because of the fences, which were installed because of the reputation football fans had in the 80s for hooliganism. I think the point he is making is... no hooliganism = no fences = no crush = no fatalities.
  13. The Prime Minister said victims’ relatives would never get over the 1989 disaster and likened them to a “blind man, in a dark room, looking for a black cat that isn’t there”. Yeah, that sounds really in favour of them doesn't it.
  14. Think Forster was un-sighted for the second one with2-3 defenders in his line of view, so I'll give him the benefit with that one, but the first one was a little too easy. That's the sacrifice we make with having Tadic in the team. He creates stuff going forward, but he just doesn't track back and pick up the runners from midfield.
  15. Agreed. The worst one was Long's in the first couple of minutes. He breezed past a static defence and into the box, and had time and space to pick his spot with the keeper not rushing out to close down the angles, and he hit the bar. Not good enough Shane, sorry. For some reason it seems that all our attacking players get nervous in the box, and need a 'perfect' chance to score. How often do we see anyone in a Saints shirt hit a first-time shot cleanly and on target? Very rarely. They always seem hesitant. Tadic, Long, Pelle and Mane are all guilty of this, and it is costing us a lot of points. OK it didn't today, but we still wasted far too many chances that we wouldn't even get when playing against a better team. It is definitely something that needs addressing, and I'm glad that RK recognises that.
  16. Amazing that we have just scored 4 away from home and we're still bemoaning our poor finishing. I had £3 on 5-2 @ 125/1 as well
  17. Another miss from Long when he really should be hitting the target.
  18. This is ridiculous. We have been in so much control of this game, and had so many chances, yet here we are with 5 mins to go and only a 1-goal lead.
  19. I'm assuming that's an injury for Wanyama then, rather than a tactical sub.
  20. Doesn't matter how far off target it is - it's still OFF target. It's very simple really.
  21. Seriously? A shot against the post is a shot off target. Ergo it is poor finishing.
  22. Yeah he doesn't seem to be on the pace. But he needs the game time, so I would give him until maybe 60-70 mins and then bring on Mane.
  23. Well it's a good job we did get that second goal when we did. I was just about to post that I hoped we wouldn't come to regret all our missed chances for the umpteenth time this season.
  24. Tidy finish from Long this time - but offside.
  25. Oh J-Rod. Very poor ball there in a promising situation.
