That doesn't really tell the story though. We played some neat stuff in the final third at times and got into some very dangerous positions against a well organised defence, but the lack of a shot at the end of those moves doesn't make it bad play either.

On current form, I would have to agree. Apart from their blip against Palace in midweek, Everton are on fire. Whereas we seem utterly incapable of even shooting at the moment, let alone scoring.

I make that at least 5 so far this season. Although, in all fairness we sneaked a win at Villa Park last season thanks to a suspect penalty decision, so I'm not going to worry too much. I'm still more angry about the one at Goodison TBH.

Disappointing. Another game we could and should have won but just couldn't find any penetration.

I would actually say the Stoke one (or, at least, one of them!) was the worst one.

I'd be tempted to swap him for Chambers and push Clyne up into a more direct RW role to try and get in behind them. Would definitely give us a better attacking option I reckon.

I'm sure they will all come out of the woodwork if we fall behind.
