  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46056337 Interesting development in the Brexit saga. Arron Banks has been referred to the NCA over the investigation into suspect campaign funding by Leave.EU. I wonder what will come of it and how that will impact on proceedings? Edit: Dammit Eric, you beat me to it!
  2. He would need to be good at tackling to play that role. He isn't.
  3. Bet365 are offering 50/1 on us winning 1-0. The odds on City winning 7-0 are only 40/1.
  4. He's been a good servant to us and played a key role in our successes between 2014-2016, but I wouldn't be sorry to see him leave and certainly wouldn't begrudge him a move back to Rangers. Good luck to him.
  5. I reckon we've got a good chance actually. We know after last season's trip up there that Pep reeeeeeeally rates Redmond, and thinks he's one of the best players in the PL. so I fully expect him to be putting three men on him at all times, which should leave loads more space for our other prolific attackers to exploit.
  6. No, not too soon. It wouldn't matter if you had left it for a whole year, you would still show yourself to be a total bellend.
  7. Where are you getting that from? All I've seen reported is that he had criticised him for being too globalist (which is not a word that any sane person would use to describe him, let's be honest).
  8. Not defending Redmond at all, but if we're going to assign blame for a player not passing to a team-mate in a much better position, then surely Mo's failure to square it to a completely un-marked Ings for the easiest of tap-ins in the first 10 minutes is far more damning.
  9. BBC news this morning had an audio clip of an on-the-scene interview with a photographer who witnessed the incident, and he seemed to be implying that the fireball occurred at the moment of impact. If that's true then I reckon the chances of anybody on board having survived are pretty much nil.
  10. https://twitter.com/DresdanPI/status/1056296316459016192 Unconfirmed, of course. But not looking good at all.
  11. Looking at some of the pictures and video footage, I would be very surprised if anybody survived that. Awful. Just awful.
  12. We weren't unlucky, really. We were clearly the better team, but our attacking quality was dreadful and we didn't score because we didn't have any decent enough shots at goal. Nothing to do with bad luck.
  13. Kept trying until the end, which is a rarity these days, but yet another game goes by where we can't buy a goal. Yet another dog-awful team comes away from SMS with some points. If we can't beat a team that bad at home then we don't deserve to stay up. Simple as that.
  14. Think yourself lucky.
  15. Yay! Here we go! We're desperate for a goal so we're bringing on Shane Long!
  16. Is it time to get the nuns out?
  17. Redmond with the best chance of the game so far. Blocked.

  19. Great one Austin. Blocks his own team-mate from scoring.
  20. Austin hasn't been subbed at HT. To me that just shows how inept Hughes is. How can he not see that he has contributed absolutely nothing up front?
  21. When Someone finally pits in a decent cross onto the head of Austin, he completely fluffs it. We do seem to be back in the ascendancy again the last 5 minutes though.
  22. The last two seasons we have absolutely dreaded his inevitable long term injury. I'm finding myself almost wishing it to happen this season.
  23. What do these players do in training all week? Seriously. The quality of our crossing is consistently terrible, from every single player.
  24. Jeez - Hoedt put us right in trouble there. Mo gets in a good position in the box but is offside.
  25. Yep. Newcastle have ridden out our early dominance and are slowly getting themselves more into the game. We just don't seem to have any kind of shape or cohesion going forward. Everything looks like it's laboured or the players are surprised to get the ball in a forward position and don't know what to do with it.
