  1. Considering how low our confidence is and with Boscombe punching above their weight (and at home) I really can’t understand the negativity. Was always going to be a tight and scrappy game and after scoring so early we were always going to be under pressure for long spells. Thought we dealt with it really well and were reasonably comfortable. Don’t know what people are expecting, us to magically become some free flowing Man City? Papering over the cracks, maybe, but credit where it’s due. It’s going to be a really hard season, with or without Ralph so this can only be a positive result and a more resilient performance than we’ve put in for a while. Also have to say, I’ve not been Che’s biggest fan recently, but what a performance tonight.
  2. Better that than what you’re smoking.
  3. I’m a little disappointed I can’t go to the game this afternoon, but kind of get that the FA don’t want the headlines if some idiots decide to ruin the minutes silence, which unfortunately, they probably would. Though expect only delaying it for the next game so seems a little pointless. More annoyed that they called off grassroots footy too. We got an email from our league early yesterday requesting, as expected, we have a minutes silence before the game. So was looking forward to the opportunity for me and my team to pay our respects before the game. Just seems odd to stop the kids playing.
  4. Shame, liked Redders but probably the right time for something new. Although it’s obvious he never hit the heights we thought he would, I was always happy to see his name on the teamsheet. Seemed like a nice guy, happy to chat and have a photo with my boys and served the club well. Wish him all the best.
  5. We’re the better team, pretty much controlled that first half, unfortunately not creating enough though. Wolves poor, especially for the home team, and lucky to be ahead with a scuffed finish, can understand why it caught Bazunu out. Though we do risk goals like that playing with the full backs so high. As others have said, get Moi and Diallo off and hopefully we’ll create a bit more.
  6. My favourite player has left - a sad day 😢
  7. Hopefully they are no longer interested in Broja now.
  8. Could keep Aron’s RB when Tino’s fit and push Tino further forward. Assuming we’re sticking with 4 at the back he could be the right sided No 10 in a 4222 or the wide right player in a 4231. Think he has the attributes to turn into the pacey wide player we’re after. Same way Bale progressed (though not saying he’ll turn out as good!). All depends on how he returns from the bad injury though. Oh, and if we’re actually interested in Aarons of course!
  9. Excellent player, would be a great signing. But as has already been said, can only see us signing him if we think KWP is likely to go and even then not sure he’d come to us.
  10. Good point.
  11. He can go back to Bompey, we can’t be that desperate.
  12. https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/transfer-news/report-chelsea-have-made-amazing-full-back-their-top-target-they-prefer-him-to-kyle-walker-peters/ Let’s hope so.
  13. https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-fulham-offered-jason-denayer-after-leicester-city-bid-accepted/ Also says Vestergaard turned Fulham down.
  14. I’m not dismissing him because of one bad season and agree what he did on the budget wasn’t bad. It’s the style of play I don’t want. I remember a few seasons back being soaked at Turf Moor watching us lose 3 nil after being bullied and not coping with the aerial bombardment (I recall a particularly amusing Vestergard moment where he completed got done by the ball bouncing around in the force 9). Thoroughly miserable but I do remember thinking, at least I don’t have to watch this Burnley dirge every week and I felt more sorry for the Burnley fans. I know we’re terrible at the moment but at least we are trying (failing) to play the right way. On the rare recent occasion it has worked, like the previous Spurs game, it’s given me arguably my best away game ever. So new manager yes, but I think we can do better than dinosaur Dyche.
  15. 100% no.
  16. You’d hope as a Liverpool fan he couldn’t bring himself to play for them…but guess the chance to move back home may be the deciding factor (oh, and the cash of course!).
  17. Former BBC journalist Fletcher wrote on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon (5 August): “Connor [sic] Coady has told Wolves he would like move to Everton.

  19. Boom.
  20. Should certainly start ahead of Djenepo.
  21. How a Premier League striker is unable to use both feet is beyond me.
  22. Disappointed with the lineup is an understatement.
  23. Agree, can’t remember seeing us completely dominate a top team away like that in the 1st half. Think we all were thinking we’d run out of steam and blow it in the 2nd. But what a comeback after a dreadful decision for the 2nd, looked like a foul, but regardless ref had to stop it for the head injury. Sharing that with my boys tonight will live long in the memory. Oh when the SAINTS go marching in….
