Couldn't agree more. I was over-awed when Pardew was appointed but I think he has done a great job. One of the main things I was looking forward to when ML & NC took over was stability. So I really hope this rumour turns out to be a load of bull and that we don't end up turning over managers at the slightest whim.

Perhaps there was something in the progamme about Inigo Calderon going to sign before it being finalised with Brighton and/or the player?!?!

"Avram Grant believes the Premier League should admit they have made mistakes in their treatment of Portsmouth." I think he is spot on and it disgraceful how they have been treated: - the transfer embargo should never have been lifted - the nine points should have been deducted as soon as they went into administration - the £1m fine is nowhere near enough for the way they have disregarded the premiership rules and other clubs. - the current owner has never been through the Fit and Proper Person test - why should they be allowed to play players they clearly can’t afford - they shouldn’t have been allowed to bring in load players when they cant afford to pay the wages of the players they have - why should they be allowed to sell players outside the transfer window? It’s a mess of their own making so why should the rules be ‘bent’ for them? I’m sure there more that could be added. So a message to Avram….just shut the ffuucckk up and stop whinging.

Congratulations for being a total diicckkhhead again. I realise you have to clutch at straws to try and have a pop......but that story is hardly a scratch on your pathetic history of violence. How old was she???? Was it 13 (I think)??? And that is just on your recent history. I applaud you sir, as you never fail to make us laugh at you. You are almost as funny as watching that joke of a football club you support whimper and squirm.

Very unsmug thread for those STILL waiting for tickets
the colonel replied to Shroppie's topic in The Saints
Not received mine yet ordered fairly early. Keep trying the ticket office and keep getting record voice message stating: 'All operators are busy call back later'. So don't rely on getting through to the ticket office. I've just sent an e-mail and hopefully will get a response. Heres Hoping -

Why is Sky SPorts MK match preview quoting: 'On-loan midfielder Jason Puncheon will be hoping for a solid display against his parent club.' No he isn't. More poor lazy reporting considering MK weren't his parent club when we bought him as he was on loan to them from Plymouth!! Although he was an MK owned player back in 2004 to 2006.

And there was me thinking that the blue few aren't on here because they have all gone to the match......doh!!

A weakened team two divisions below you.....congratulations.......plank

Museum of Modern Art (MOMA): If you only ever go to one Art Museum then this is the one to go to. Brilliant. Helicopter flight: take the flight which includes cutting cross Manhatten going up to the Empire State and other buildings. Expensive but worth every penny.

I got speaking to a Chelsea fan and Spurs fan on Friday afternoon and of course the conversation went on to Pompey's plite. They were going on about how big a fan base Pompey have with 18-19k per week. Of course I said but when Saints were in a similar position we were getting approx 30k..........they replied 'yeah ok but thats Southampton'. So I asked them to explain and they both came from the same angle saying that Portsmouth is only a small town and not a major city compared to Southampton so they don't have such a big population to call on. They were most surprised when I said that Southampton only had a population of about 30-40k more than Portsmouth. My point is that we all get a bit thrustrated when punters go on about but the blue few and how big their fan base is. Well I think we are looking at it the wrong way. Rather than comparing the two fan base sizes we should compare them based on perceived size of city. May be just a load of rubbish but thought it was interesting view on the two clubs from two outsiders that I just met for the first time.

Why do all Pompey fans have Mockney accents?
the colonel replied to adrian lord's topic in The Lounge
It's down to the inbreeding!! -
can we have a jokes page? The weather is warming up in Soton but it's -9 in pompey. I'm sure there's alot worse and predicable than that.
-
We had it outside ST Mary's but then mealt it down.
-
Quote from Skysports Score Centre 'pompey are pushing, pushing, pushing, but nothing is happening' Love it

'Strike us down and we will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine!' Well you couldn't get any worse.....so is that with the 8000 fans you managed to scrape together in the lower leagues or the massive 10,000 you had aginast Sunderland in the cup. joke club, joke management, joke city and even bigger joke fans. It not just us laughing at I live n work in London and the majority think skates are a laughing stock and the sooner they go back to the lower division where they will be ahome the better.

Start a prediction league for their attendance today? I recon' 17,684

FFS I Don’t normally respond to you because you don't seem to have much of a clue about anything. No wonder you have been sent on gardening leave. 1. Yes we blamed those that were supposed to be running the club not the Premier league not the Football League not the Media not anyone else who happens to get involved with a shhiitte hole of club called pompey. 2. Save Our Saints game came after £120k had already been raised by fans to keep the club afloat. Yes you had a couple of hundred fans march on FP wow...well done. 3. SLH did own other businesses that were sold to stave off administration. Admittedly at the end SFC was the only thing left. The FA admitted they changed the rules to ensure Saints where given -10. 4. And the other you couldn't sell them and others was because they are on stupid wages no other club would match. 5. The reason you are blaming the Premier league is because you don't want to face the FACT that it is your club's own fault you are in the SHHiiTTE. Were you blaming to the PL when you 'won' the FA Cup? No, you were loving it and couldn't careless where the money was coming from.....now you have you pay the piper. So before you start getting at others and calling them names (which usually comes about when someone knows they are on a losing wicket) get over yourself, take you head out of the clouds and understand that no-one cares about your shiiittte little club. The only reason other clubs are considering helping is because they know they will be worse off for point if you lot disappear, after all how many clubs haven’t taken points off you ermmmm three I think?. If it wasn't for that I'm sure the Premier league and PL clubs would be glad to see the back of you. And the Football League won't want to pick up the pieces either so they woould be happy to see you go.
