We aren’t staying up. However unlike last time I’m personally looking forward to the ride next season. Every week, season in, season out we pretty much tip up to games wondering if we’ll score let alone win. I’m tired of it, we can’t compete at this level so if it means going down and getting that feel good factor back on a Saturday evening then I’m happy with that. Listen if we go down every season until we hit the Conference I don’t really care. I support Saints and just want to see us win games and compete, whatever league that may be in.

What I don’t understand with Mara is when we weren’t scoring and he bangs 4 in for the reserves he still doesn’t get a chance. At that point Ralph had very little to lose.

I think we’ll have 14 points by the time the WC comes along. If he’s not gone by then that total should be enough to call time on him. Even then it may be too late.

They’ll pull the plug soon enough that’s for sure. The longer this goes on the worse it’ll get for them. At the moment we aren’t out of touch with teams and potentially a new voice could get a fresh tune out of the players. Leave it until after the WC and we’re history.

I’m Northwich in Cheshire. Probably get to about 8 aways a home game every season.

The easy thing would be to stop them happening. However make no mistake how much each local council and police Forces make out of these gigs even when you take costs into account. One particular Force that hosts a very large festival once paid all its officers to police them and said it wouldn’t be to the residents of that county detriment. Roll on that Force having no money they stopped that and just cancelled days off and holidays. Consequently officers are pulled in from all over the Force area, the result being that in real terms the residents of that county lost hundreds of policing days in real terms.

Years ago I went on a Saints ‘Soccerscope’ football holiday. DA did a guest appearance with a bit of training. Receiving a pass from him which I promptly dispatched into the net is something I’ll never forget. He was without doubt one of my favourite players and what a player he was. RIP David, taken too young.
