I don’t know the stats but I am no longer prepared to shell out £150 and do a 400 mile round trip for abject home performances
-
No we can go down. I support Saints......not the league we play in. Plus anything has to be bette4 than this

Fat Sam to steady the ship anyone?

Who would you take back and what would you pay for them?

Lallana.............yes I know the issues but he would improve us if he could stay fit. -
FYI For those going to the game tomorrow: Entrance to the stadium is gained by first going through a security cordon at Gate 11, where tickets are checked. Then fans are to go through a metal detector (the type of which you would see at an Airport) and are subject to a pat-down search. Lastly, tickets are presented at the automatic turnstiles, for the barcode on the ticket to be read to get inside the ground. Please note that the club operates a strict policy for bringing bags into the stadium. Any carrier bags must be clear of colour and be no more than 30cms long and 30cms high. Whilst only personal bags that are A4 in size or smaller (maximum 21cms x 30cms) will be allowed. The Club do not operate a bag drop off or creche facility, so if arriving with a bag larger than these dimensions you may find yourself with a real dilemma. The gates open to the stadium two hours before kick off.

I see from the BBC that he may make his England debut at StMarys. He appears to be one that got away from us during a time of financial strife. I’m not convinced by his injury record but never the less having just seen an interview with him and read his Wiki page I hope he does well and if he does play next week it’d be great for the supporters to get behind him, especially as there’ll be a large contingent of Saints fans in the crowd. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrone_Mings

Judging by the fact everyone is searched they’re certainly not particularly smart in the way they go about it so I’d suggest limited intelligence is used especially at run of the mill games like ours. You’re right about football being a potential target. Let’s just hope that never happens and again it does need to be a fine balance.
-
The searches they do are pointless. I was at Burnley yesterday with my son and we attend numerous away games where supporters are searched. They should either do it correctly or not bother. However to do it right would take too much time. They would be better off profiling those they want to search, use intelligence (information) to target certain individuals or doing thorough random searches. At Stoke a couple of years ago the drugs dog was all over me - I don’t even smoke. It turned out it was because I also have a Labrador and that was what he was sniffing. It was lucky for me as it could have proved professionally embarrassing.

Remember that so well. My dad nearly didn’t take me. If I recall it was 8-2. Moran, Danny Wallace hat tricks with Frank Worrhington and Armstrong getting the other two. Worthingtons was given by the Lino as it was hacked away after it had crossed at the Milton Road end. Puckett missed a simple chance- hit the post I believe? Allardyce was in the Coventry side.

Absolutely. I won’t r3new. It’s so frustrating

Cheer yourselves up......worked for me. -
Let’s just start planning for the the Championship and go with who we’re likely to have.
-
My Saintsplayer has just failed....anyone else? I’m on an iPad and they’re off line
-
One good thing though.............we can’t be that bad second half
-
So this the Cedric thread and the Cedric thread is also a Cedric thread. If I want to know about Cedric I know where to go!! Anyway I’ve heard we’re in for Lallana on loan - actually that’s a lie but it’s more interesting than pages on ..........Cedric

Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread

VAR is in danger of ruining football -
Maybe, just maybe if supporters got behind Long instead of barracking him it’d give him and the side a massive lift. We are where we are with strikers so this continual vitriol isn’t going to help. What he did for the mascot on Saturday showed a bit of class and he’s a player that never stops working for the side.

Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread
bangkoksaint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
There’s four days before this game so I don’t buy in to the fact they’ll need rest. Ralph is putting a run together and needs to take that in to account. Lose at home to Derby and we lose some momentum. -
I really hope this is true. It’s the sort of treatment and arse kicking that pretty much all footballers need
-
Not much different tonight to when Hughes was here
-
If it isn’t BS (and I suspect it is) then we have learned nothing from the past few seasons in relation to the mess we’re now in. Just at a time when we appear to be turning the corner McCarthy leaving would send out a clear signal to Ralph.

Saints to give £250,000 to Gift to Richard Scudamore
bangkoksaint replied to Hatch's topic in The Saints
This for me. Had a gutful of this league now. I don’t care if we go down. I want to be entertained and I want the feel good factor when we win so frankly the league is irrelevant -
What’s the going rate for a box in the Championship?
-
I heard it all and they were bang on. Said we have got the point where Hughes said we need ‘luck’. They also slated our sell, sell, sell policy and that we r3placed with players who appear to lose all form when they arrive.

I watched Whitton v Solihull in FA Cup at weekend and I concur with what you say. I thought Wreckford looked superb and would love to see us start taking a punt on such players who would run through walls for such an opportunity. I’m so disenchanted with PL football and Saints that I’m drifting away from it. I’m going Saturday but it may be the last game for quite a while.
