At 2 nil with half an hour to go, no chance. This is saints.

Che Adams school of finishing...!
-
Got lucky, should be one down, now one up...
-
It's not his starting that I'm concerned about, it's his finishing, it's been woeful recently..!
-
I hope so, we need 6 points from them.
-
Sort of result we have waited a long time for. Haven't seen any of the game but can only think that we were very good. Got to keep the momentum going to slowly chip away at the top two, do that and who knows where we may finish. I may yet become a Russell Martin concert.
-
Yep, not sure Ruddy needed to be on his 18 yard line when their guy was being chased down by 2 brum players. He was too advanced again, poor.
-
Leicester already one up, goalkeeper made that far too easy, awful positioning.

Saints 4 actual goals vs 0 Blackburn - Match Thread

Didn't have time to follow this game at all today, but reading through here it sounds like we put on a proper performance today which is good to hear. Hopefully keep this level up and see where it takes us, onwards and upwards. -

No matter what team, it'll be more plodding around at pedestrian pace, going nowhere, creating little. It's a home game and we should be looking at putting teams to the sword, but we won't. There's normally a mistake in one of us, so we'll be lucky to keep a clean sheet. On the positive side, i think we'll win 2 - 1. -
I find it hard to believe that we supposedly beat some premiere league teams to his signature. From what I've seen, he's had one decent game for us and been woeful for the most part.
-
Another horrible bland performance. Other than possession, no positives at all, we are simply the most pedestrian team of all time. We carry no threat of being serious away, never mind scoring. If we don't make it this season we are going to be in this league for a long time.
-
Absolutely no urgency at all, anybody would think we were five up and cruising. Crap, shyte tactics.
-
We'll now retain the ball for the next 40 minutes showing no urgency whatsoever to score. Tactics eh....
-
Thanks Wes, nice one mate...! 😭
-
I think if we keep pace, our crucial period will be all of March going into 1 April 24, tough period where we need to take points off of the big teams. IF we are still up with them.
-
Couldn't agree more, we look very vulnerable from our own corners.
-
Decent second half, but it took a worldy from a full back, and the goalkeeper to secure those points. We still look pointless and pedestrian most of the time. Pick the positives out though, 3 points, clean sheet, move on.
-
If they can't be arsed, I can't be arsed with insightful, informed analysis of that half. It was a streaming pile of shitty, stinky horse manure, utter, utter crap.
-
The only thing I'm confident of is that we will have loads of possession. As has been proved many times this season though that means absolutely nothing in the context of the game, so I've not a clue how this will pan out.
-
Failing to win after having 78% possession in an away fixture tells you that there is little purpose in our game. Even if we make the playoffs (no chance we are catching the top two) I'm not sure our 'safety first' football would see us promoted. Two points chucked away because we don't have the balls to really squeeze teams, and when they squeeze us, we capitulate.
-
Ten points is probably not going to hurt them too much such is the state of the league this year, it couldn't have happened at a better time for them. They will only lose out financially for the pay out for league places at the end of the season. Had those points been deducted retrospective (as perhaps they should've been) that would've been a whole different ballgame.
-
If we are really serious about promotion this year, anything other than a win will be points dropped. These are the games that we should be taking in our stride, we are in good form, they are not. We need to kick on and try to close the gap between us and Leicester and Ipswich.
-
Only saw the second half but thought our keeper got the points for us there, made some decent stops, otherwise we were losing that.

Currently 3 nil down at a very quiet Carrow Road to a ten man Blackburn. Needs a bit of Delia and 'where are you.... let's be 'avin' you...!"
