Ummmm we need an English Manager, who shall we appoint? What a load of cobblers, while it's farcicle I don't think it matters too much really. Has anybody actually considered that perhaps the reason that England managers have all failed so dismally in the past is that we don't have as good players as, Spain, Germany, France, Portugal, Holland etc, etc, etc.

I believe your players still have not been paid for their January work. Yet you used them, you could not afford to, but you did. All the other clubs had to pay for the resources they used - they did not cheat.

Where - go and look at the main board, the Adkins thread, the New Manager Available thread......!! When I say 'we appear to have gone into meltdown - I mean the posters here, not the team'. But go read the threads for yourself - many are hinting at drastic action. I tend to read now and not write - can't be assed to argue anymore. But for me the bottom line is looking at where we have come from and where we are currently - we require tweaking, but not overhauling.

Sorry mate - for what it's worth I actually agree with everything you said in your very first post on this thread. I'm struggling to actually want to debate such issues though because we appear to have gone into total meltdown and there are numerous threads full of the some rhetoric.

Well i'm not chillin out, I'm very, very nervous. I think we should sack the manager and get some decent loanees in to give us a fighting chance of getting back to the top of the table.

I've see much less farcicle threads locked a whole lot quicker.

I think that Alps is talking about the 'bigger picture'. Probably nobody here is too bothered about being out of the cup - but in terms of everything else football - tonight was a bad bad night for us, form, confidence, the lot - all took a big hit.

Depends what you want - if you want to stay in the league we have no problems, if you want to reach the play offs we have problems, if you want automatic promotion we have major problems.

If you want promotion then I think we need to stick to the top 2. Even if we made the play offs I really couldn't see us doing it from there - if it's not automatic, is nothing for me.

Don't think anybody is saying that. But just for good measure - check our our recent form. What you'll find, is that is is worrying, is giving cause for concern, is not very good, is making us drop away from the promotion places, is not indicative of instilling confidence in the players. There is a problem - if you fail to see it - tough.

Not quite so optimistic tbh. If this is still being classed as a blip I would hate to see a complete slump in form. The wheels are well and truely off, our form is shyte - worrying times if you were looking for promotion this year.

I actually found the whole article quite funny. Not that I condone throwing things at players - but really - that article was printed in a so called professional news publication...!!! His girlfriend was shellshocked - really - how did that not make Sky news. He's getting grief on Twitter - really. My brother is an ex Army Medic, although he only did a couple of years in the ranks (Cpl I believe) before training as a Psychiatric Nurse and gaining a Commission - finished up as a Brigadier, last post was Commander Med in York I think. He's out now, flirted with local politics for a little while, but I think is now happy to live on a little part time consultancy, supplemented by his pension. No a regular at SMS, but takes in the occasional game when my dad is fit enough to go sometimes.
