  1. Sorry for not being able to think of an alternative viable rule FA/FL at half past midnight - far too late for me. As a result I'll refrain from calling it a ludicrous system. My point centered around the number of games played and points won - it seem fairly unjust to me that a team who took maximum points from the games can be so heavily penalised.
  2. I've got no idea mate, non at all. I'm just pointing out that when you look at the system it does not really appear very fair - for the reasons that I stated above. Yes it's the rules, but so what. Just try and look at it as though we were the team that was going to get 6 points knocked off and see if it makes as much sence then.
  3. I don't think they will get wound up guys. They have been here before and they have survived, they will do it again. I know that it's in the FL rules, but when you sit and think about it, it is not a very fair system to expunge points anyway. Yes it's great for us as it stands, but put yourself in WHU's place and think about it. You've actually had to play a game more, won more points, only to be told that you are being leap frogged by a team that only managed to draw with the defunct team..! Ludicrous rule - creates far too many problems - I really, cannot see it happening. I might be wrong, but who knows - time will tell.
  4. It's been done to death on a small thread elsewhere - and besides that, it won't happen. The FL will do everything in their power to keep them going til at least the end of the season in order to fulfil the fixture list. After that, who knows - but there is no way any points are going to be expunged, non starter, straw clutching.
  5. Got on, before the mods.....!!!
  6. Is there actually a club that uses this transfer strategy?
  7. It's amazing how often I find that posters who don't post very frequently often speak the most sence. Good post.
  8. Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward. If the players are aware of how bad the display was tonight that hopefully it get's a positive reaction. Personally I never actually thought we would get promoted this season - but we have got ourselves into a great position to challenge. Who knows - tonight might actually turn out to be a stepping stone to another good run of results.

Unfortunately so, every dog has it's day - tonight was his, class finish. But we'll have better days, and hopefully he will be on the recieving end - that's life.
  10. Problem is, that if one player can hold his head up after tonight - it was Jos.
  11. Sorry, but amongst all the doom and gloom going on right now - that really made me LOL...!!!!!
  12. Some people really make me cringe. Where were we last season, where. As a club we have made massive strides forward - probably over achieved if truth be known. Our standards have been so high that it is difficult to replicate them week in, week out. We should be a team that is consolodating it's position in this league having just been promoted, but we have played so well - we are currently second. Second in the Championship. Our home form (over the course of the season) has been awsome - our away form is picking up. We have one bad day and the fans want to throw in the towel. What exactly did you expect - how many of you actually thought we would be where we are tonight. Most of you are only moaning because we have hit a mini slump. Had we not been top most of the season and worked our way up into this position I suspect that your perspective would be totally different. We are second - still in the mix - with players to come back. Get some perspective - please.

At the end of the day he did his talking on the pitch tonight - sometimes, no matter how much you dislike the guy you have to hold your hands up.
  14. Kind of annoyed me a little bit. Here we are all doom and gloom, but we are still second in the league. Look were we were this time last year. You really cannot argue that good progress has been made. Personally I think we are becoming a victim of our own success. One poor performance - really no need to give the players stick and boo - they will know that it was not a good display. Edit: I should also say though that at times in the first half the support sounded very good on the feed that I had - still doesn't excuse the booing though. IMHO.
  15. Bad day at the office - never really got into the game. I was actually pleased to get away with only 2 - 0 in the end. Draw a line under and move on. Can't believe that some sections of the crowd saw fit to boo. We are still second ffs.
  16. sh it Howard....
  17. No idea - but over the course of the season we'll be ok - your constant negativity is boring in the extreme.
  18. Just so as you are aware - I think we'll finish the game in 2nd place in the league - not bad considering
  19. Our pasising is off tonight - yard behind - not good
  20. Game over - Jos off
  21. Nothing is dropping for us toight and when it does our first touch is poo - its gonna be one of those nights.
  22. Do you not have somewhere else to go?
  23. 2nd best all over the pitch - we look like the away side. Big, big second half coming up - believe it or not I would be happy to get out 2 - 1 loosers, well happy with a draw and a win would be incredible. Looks like a lot of confidence has gone, we really don't need a hammering at home.

    Stuart Hall

I absoultely hate his commentary - I want to know about the match, not about how this goal or move has parallels with something that this poet, writer or philosospher has said at some point in history, hate it. I actually met and interviewed Stuart many moons ago when he was working in BBC Manchester doing the evening news, and he was every bit as 'blingy' as he was with EW on IAK - full of gold chains and gold rings. Nice guy, don't get me wrong, but I really cannot abide his commetary style.
