  1. We've just finished a run of 6 'winnable' games, remind me, how many points did we manage to muster?
  2. He had his ups and downs today, he's not premiere league quality, but then again that could be leveled at quite a few of our starting 11.
  3. Remove the rose tints. There were measuring lines, he was onside, we failed to defend a simple free kick. There's no conspiracy at work here, we are shyte.
  4. And that's why we'll be relegated. Absolute garbage, home game in which we never, ever looked like scoring. Woeful performance, no composure on the ball at all, and I lost count of the times we gave it away cheaply, barely strung 3 passes together. Lots of hoof ball with no invention at all. Villa were not a good side, but they were miles better than us, and let's be honest, the scoreline flattered us as well. I said pre-match that this is a game we mustn't lose, at half time I would've taken a point, but honestly, we got what we deserved in the end. We are in big trouble.
  5. Back to the bad old days, no intensity, no control and definitely no goal threat. Villa will be gutted that they haven't got the lead, played us off the park in that half. We are going to need to improve ten fold to win this one (not that I have any faith at all in Armstrong or Adams to score). I'd probably take a point now if offered, it was fairly obvious that they were much better than us. Crap half.
  6. Most of our players would struggle to hit a 747, never mind a poxy drone!
  7. Really important game in the context of our season. If we can't win it, then don't lose it, important to keep the momentum going and building the confidence. A win would be a big step forwards, buy the manager and players a fair amount of credit.
  8. I reckon a lot of people would've said exactly the same about Anfield.
  9. Aaahhhh just a large slice of humble pie for me then chef....! Brilliant performance all over the pitch tonight. Get me some points and I may start to believe.
  10. We've done nothing yet, get some context, look at their bench. If we are in front at full time I'll scoff all the humble pie you want. But even if we do win it NJ needs to get us points very quickly before i become a convert.
  11. That's decent, given our recent form.
  12. Sadly, I'd take it, I'd take it now.
  13. No, but watching this, Vest has...!
  14. How many games do you think it would take this lot to get 5 points? How many goals do you think we need to score to secure 5 points? Massively unrealistic targets for this lot to achieve anytime soon.
  15. Newcastle showing massive levels of shithousery to get a point at Arsenal, god i hate them.
  16. Don't be such a plank, we need somebody who is going to score goals for fun in the Premiere League, not Nathan Tela.
  17. Nathan Tela, the man to save us from relegation. I think not.
  18. Nothing I have seen over the last 12 months or so would lead me to think that we could win this game. I honestly fail to remember the last time that I was confident of getting a result, fully expecting them to blow this one as well.
  19. This nightmares done. There is no real fight or quality in what we can put on the pitch, we are going out without so much as a whimper. The championship is no place for players like ours.
  20. It will. That's where we are destined this year, but I'm quite comfortable that we will not be there for long. This club is in a complete and utter mess, we'll struggle to stay in the championship.

    Pele

A true, true icon and legend of the game. RIP Pele.
  22. Shows just how bad its got, deep in the mire, in desperate need of points, yet most can't see us getting anything at newly promoted Fulham. Surely, at some point, one of our strikers has to score a goal, surely at some point we have to 'play well', surely at some point we have to win a game. Nope, I can't see it either, Fulham 2 Saints 0.
  23. At no point did we ever look like we were going to get anything out of that game. The scoreline flattered us immensely, Brighton should've been in the fours and fives, at least. Some of the stats were more than embarrassing, worryingly when you looked at the players body language and effort levels, they appear not to give two shits. We are going down without doubt, but the worry is that we will fall further, and will be bloody lucky to find another Marcus to bail us out again. Today was a woefully inept display from some woefully inept players. The players, the management and board need to get their heads out of their asses and wake up to the situation. Oh and while I'm at it, will somebody please tell the fucking media department to stop churning out media clips of players answering stupid inane questions, or pathetic lightweight training routines. If they manage to film the players sweating blood in training, by all means put it out, otherwise just STFU.
  24. Aaahh well, here endeth the cup run. Just hope we can keep the score respectable, anything under 0 -4 is probably progress!
