Absolutely this. For what it's worth I was absolutely gutted that the proposed European Super League (or whatever they called it) was dropped so quickly - I would've loved it had the big clubs pissed off to their own league, which would've leveled the playing field somewhat. Most teams in the Premier League are simply making up the numbers - playing for nothing (other than Sky money of course). The Championship is a decent standard across the board - I have no problems if that's where we end up.

About as uninspiring as football can get, typical Southgate, typical England, pretty much what I expected to be honest.

That's how we used to be built, top quality goalkeeper, strong reliable defence, the rest would pretty much look after itself then. How we could learn something from those days.

So that was pretty turgid to be honest. The old highlights editors will be earning their corn trying to make that look good.

Sadly I have been the same for some months now. After 50 years of watching its all become a bit of a chore now. I'm not fussed if we go down, i just want to see us be competative in whatever league, and win now and again. We may be in the Premiere League, but we are simply every other teams easy 3 points, and pure cannon fodder for the big clubs.

To be fair, we've got into this mess, no point trying to look at other clubs. Either sort out, and get points, or go down. Right now we need some character, but that's looking very unlikely from this group.

I think it's just indicative of where we are as a club at the moment. Absolutely no bright spots in the season - no outstanding performances, just struggling to keep our heads above water. How are you meant to force your way into the England squad working in that environment. Sad that he didn't make it, but not unexpected at all.

Woeful display, no fight, no passion and quite worryingly not a lot of effort in some cases. We are destined for the championship unless something quite remarkable happens. Crap, crap day, feel for the fans who shelled out top dollar for that bollux. This club is in shite state from top to bottom.
