  1. Unfortunately I see nothing other than yet another loss. I rate Graham Potter and think he's done OK with what he got available to him. As far as I can tell, we have been on the beach for some weeks now. They say you're only as good as your last game, if true we need to go from absolute shyte to pretty good in the space of a couple of days to get anything. With our goal shy strikers we are relying on others to get the goals, so not looking good there. All of the teams below us have games in hand as well, we'll be lucky to finish above 15th at this rate.
  2. Not sure that any of their squad will be with them in two seasons. Nearly 100 million spent just in the window, money is basically on tap, and like all big clubs FFP will be skilfully circumnavigated. They are a club on a different stratosphere to us now. Quite how the Premiere League can block Abramovitch and force him to sell, whilst allowing Newcastle to be funded as it is, is quite beyond me.
  3. He is achieving the boards potential aims of the club, remaining in the Premiere League.
  4. Yeah I get your point. To be honest I only want goals now to win some bloody games, but I do worry for us if we go into next season with this 'strikeforce'.
  5. Agreed, that is a medium term project. We need goals now.
  6. I know mate, that 'performance' demands very little real analysis, hence I kept it brief..!
  7. That is a long term project, very long term. We need goals now.
  8. Here we go again. We fell spectacularly off the cliff last season, and here we are again doing exactly the same thing. Arsenal papered over the cracks, tonight was closer to the truth, and that is we are a very mediocre team who will probably finish in the bottom 6. Sorry but our 'strikers' just aren't good enough, we will get found out if we persist with them next season, I can't remember the last time one of them actually scored. As for Ralph, he's lost this lot, they didn't sweat for him tonight, and haven't done so for some time now. He's hinted at retirement in the next couple of years, I would give him till the end of the season and then give him a gentle shove. As for tonight, briefly, shit.
  9. Things are not staying as the were, Everton equalise.
  10. So, any chance you could explain xG for us oldens? 😁😁😁
  11. Was always going to be tough for them to avoid the drop. Don't know the "ins and outs", but they aren't the first 'big' club to end up in league one, as we well know.
  12. Given the fact that they have contrived to relegate themselves over the last couple of games, I hope we go there and add to their demise. Won't be easy though, Turf Moor, lights, rain, new manager bounce, so it'll be a tough nut to crack.
  13. Yeah, pretty easy to reel them off if you Google it I guess. My interest probably started around 1970, and since then I "remember" very few sites outside of the top 6 or so winning it. Wimbledon, I grant you, one I remember but missed, and yes I remember Leicester last year, but I put them up with the better teams as well. The FA Cup is rarely won by a surprise team or complete underdog, ergo relatively boring for many fans.
  14. "Getting...!" In my lifetime (and I'm nearly pensionable), I can only remember us, Sunderland, Coventry, Wigan and the Skates winning it outside of the top sides. The FA Cup has been pretty boring for twenty odd years now as far as I'm concerned.
  15. Aaah the "Player of the match" award. I take it i would be vilified for life if i referred to it as the "man of the match".
  16. Maybe so, but they had a great chance to win it and blew it. They'll look at these specific games at the end of the season and know that's where they should've got more.
  17. Good spot from the ref, when I first saw it I called stone wall pen.
  18. Fucking Newcastle, I fucking hate them.
  19. Could end up being costly in the grand scheme of things. When you're in the shite, put your foot through gilt edge chances, hit the target.
  20. Or perhaps not.
  21. Can't make my mind up, already half way to Burnley, and it's one I normally do. But given its live on sky, may give it a miss.
  22. Have a word with yourself, it's a ball, booted into the crowd. How many player shirts get given away, thrown into the crowd.
  23. To be fair, hanging off of other teams performance and results is pretty pointless with us. We get ourselves into a good position in the league, we actually overhauled Brighton, but then collapse in games we should be winning. We now find ourselves four points behind them, which I doubt we'll make up now. I think our realistic targets are little more than to simply stay in this league.
  24. Micky

    Dyche sacked

Simon Jordan already lining him up to replace Ralph at Saints...!
  25. Current form perhaps, coupled with the total capitulation yesterday, and the inability of our strike force to consistently find the back of the net.
