This is going to be very, very embarrassing for us. Tonight it's going to be one of those nights that we're going to remember for a long time. St Mary's emptying after 20 minutes. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

You misinterpret my post. It's not about who he is playing for, it's who he is playing against. Lower level football in the Scottish League.
-
You're not grasping the basics are you. He's a decent player, at that level, he was given a chance to play at a higher level but it was beyond him. What makes you think that if we bring him back up to our level again, anything will have changed. Given your logic we should bring back Guido and Wesley next season as well - how'd you think that would go?

Arsenal were woeful tonight, too many prima donnas strutting around to no effect whatsoever. Tons of possession with no end result, hardly troubled the keeper all night. Absolutely terrible display. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

The whole point and purpose of a pitch-side monitor is for the on-field official to be able to review his original decision. Getting 'somebody else' to do it, no matter how well qualified, is simply yet another extension of VAR. Either get the on-field official to use them or get rid of them altogether and just take the VAR advise.

He scored against the mighty Ross County, given the standard of defending on show, it's painfully obvious that he's now playing teams most of which are probably championship or league one level at best. He's not the first, and won't be the last player to achieve nothing in England to then move to Scotland and win 'honours'. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/scotland/50117853 Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

Personally, thought it was a good away performance against a decent side today. We gave as good as we got and could have won it with a little more composure. Thought Ings and Redmond caused them problems at the back and Rom in midfield was strong all over the park. Can't say that for all the players though, we lost a lot of 50 : 50's today because of some pretty lame tackling at times. Hoj generally kept it simple today, win it and give it, which is what his job is, so thought he did ok. As for the penalty, I was probably the closest Saints fan to it (JL9 end of the row) and I couldn't see what happened. What I did think was that there was no need to make any kind of challenge because we had the guy well marshalled - but hey ho. After they scored thought we showed a good reaction and were still well in the game, even into injury time we were getting corners. Yoshi and Bed's looked good at the back and although Vest is slow, he made some great clearances with his head as balls came into the box. Ralphs subs, ummm strange one for me was Rom for Danso, didn't make any sense as Danso looked like a fish out of water, luckily he was only there for 10 minutes, but he was so unaware of what was behind him, it was frightening. At the end of the day a decent point methinks. On another note, have to say that Wolves have got it spot on with how they have parked the away fans at the bottom of the SB Stand, really difficult to generate any real atmosphere. If we are serious about relocating them at SMS we could learn a lot of lessons from Molinuex. Decent away day really, have to give a big shout out to the parking attendant right outside the ground who let me park in their secure car park free of charge, I was lost and was just turning around in the car park, but police closed the road before I could get back out... bonus!

I think a lot of this is actually down to the back 3 / 4 / 5. We are much weaker in this area than we have been for some time. During the Koeman years we didn't ship goal like we do today, we had players who got offended when they conceded. Compare Toby, Fonte, Virgil, Shaw, Clyne et al to what we have today, back then we once had the meanest defence in Europe, never mind the Premier League, now we give goals away for free. Even if we did ship goals back in the day, at least we had the firepower to score as well. Today, we are weaker all over the field, poor defence, average midfield and basically the fire power that wouldn't frighten a Sunday League team - I would think most teams relish the opportunity to play at St Marys and look at it as a damn good source of away points.

After first 10 minutes we never looked like winning that, which is pretty much what I expected. Problem is they never really got out of second gear, you could see their goals coming 10 seconds before they went in. Totally outclassed all over the park, never got close to them, major gulf in ability, gonna be a long hard season, not sure we've got anywhere near enough to survive. Goals win games, and let's face it, our so called strike force is woeful, Ings will get the occasional goal, Long and Obafemi are nowhere near good at this level, Chey could play for another 100 games and I wouldn't back him to score. It's going to be a long hard season of relegation dogfight, again. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

Would I care, probably not, there's bigger clubs than us in the championship. I'd still be a fan, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest really. The bottom line is you play at the level of your players, ours are lower league. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
