There are no legal reasons at all for not releasing the pledge conversion figures. Absolutely none. There may be good reasons (e.g. the numbers are awful and his would be terrible PR). But there isn't a legal reason. Not one.

What part of this is a strategy? Buy Ramirez for £12m because he will rip out the Championship when we go down? Totally agree we might get relegated, but in what way do you think the club is (or should be) arranging its affairs in anticipation of relegation? The exact opposite seems to be the case.

Am very surprised that some seem to have the view that (a) SRL wasn't cutting it and (b) J-Rod had a really good game. I'd give Rickie 8/10, a truly excellent performance. Not his best of the season, but not far off. I'd give Jay 6.5/10. Not bad, but not lethal enough. He hasn't convinced me yet, but he had one of his better games. I'm not anti, but still unsure he was worth £6m. Here's hoping.

I'm not sure signing a 4th goalie would sit easily with the yo-yo strategy. Given the central aim of the club's strategy is to get relegated this season, before waiting to get promoted next season, it would be a major error to sign a good keeper, I'd have thought.

Probably my player of the season at the moment. Enjoyed his full page interview in the Sun today. Obviously, he's had his troubles. But looks like the real deal just now. Thank God the club didn't listen to me or most others on this message board and get rid of him for tuppence or less.
