Looks like an awesome read. I think I'll buy the hardback edition.

He wasn't interviewed by Palace. Was on their long list. But not interviewed.

I have no more data than most. But, here's a thought. We're going to treat major purchase as capital purchases, which we may have to get rid of at a loss. So, rather than writing a cheque for £12m for Ramirez, you borrow the cash. Assuming that we either stay up - hurrah! - or offload him for say, £9m, if we go down. My worry would be if we can't cover that £3m gap - not if we borrowed the money to buy Ramirez.

Not sure I agree with this. If, for sake of argument, Saints were offered $10m to play one game a season in Tokyo or Shanghai rather than St Mary's. I'd take it.

I'd give us 3.5/10 Defence has been shocking. Only real upside is we know the problem that needs fixing. If we get some points tomorrow, I'd shift my score to maybe 4.5 or 5/10. At the start of the season, I was expecting about 7 points from first ten games. Am disappointed, but not wholly surprised.

The bit I was most hostile to was the 39th game aspect. Not playing (occasional) games abroad. The NFL have developed their popularity in the UK via the Wembley game. It's not an extra game, it's a team surrendering home advantage (usually, a pretty weak team).

It's not a Tory MP....it's seen a senior Tory.

If we win 3 in a row we will be out of the bottom three immediately. HTH.
-
I think we will probably go down. Too leaky and not looking good enough up front either. Close to 50-50, but if I had to bet my life on it, I'd say we will be relegated.
-
Not too bad, overall. First half was a shambles and no bite up front. 2nd was very good. We clearly have problems, but at least they are identifiable problems.

I love Billy Sharp to bits. And am happy to support his charity. But this new fad of applauding at a pre-determined minute of a football match is just absurd. I start applauding at 11mins, continue to applaud as Spurs are awarded a dodgy penalty at 11mins10secs, still clap as our keeper is sent off at 11mins15secs and finish clapping just after 11mins55secs just as Spurs convert the spot kick? I will find a way to support Billy's foundation in my own private (and financially useful) fashion. I won't be joining in the applause. Sorry.

Whatever the tactics were supposed to be today, they didn't work. We look inept too often. I've been very pro-Adkins, but am seriously beginning to question if he knows what he's doing.

I have 3 pledges down. Am looking forward to my £292.50 to be returned. I know 2 other Saints fans who have 4 pledges between them. This is going to be very funny. LMAO.

West Ham and Spurs. HTH ;-)

It seems likely that if Portpin don't take control soon, there is likely to be a drawn out legal case. Chanrai isn't just going to shrug his shoulders and walk away.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD

MLG has been v quiet recently. Just saying..... -
The Channon suite is a total fiasco too. Absolute amateur hour. Almost "so bad, it's good"
-
Laughable fiasco. Just mental that the club went down this route.

this is wonderful. Just wonderful. Draw out the agony.....

Relegation, a statistical analysis...
SaintBobby replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Obviously we should aim to get something out of each game. But that doesn't mean 32-33 points will be insufficient. If we go into our last game with 30 points, I still think we have a chance of staying up. -

I think it will be about 32-33 points to stay up. -
This is beyond mad. We are 4th from bottom after 7 games. Why panic?
-
Way too much panic on here. After a very tough start, we're out of the relegation zone. 17th or above this season would be amazing. We got into this league two years ahead of schedule.
-
Who has ever spoken about the "miracle" of January 2013? In my view, we were always about 50-50 to be relegated this season. And I stand by that. It's odd that people think relegation would be a complete and utter failure. I think staying up would be an amazing success.
