Is there any sort of seedings for the draw or can we get anyone?
-
Lol at Murphy thinking Villa might have a chance if they make it 3-1

Forster - 8 Davis - 6 Gaza - 4 Clyne - 7 Fonte - 10 Toby -8 Bertrand - 10 Gardos - 5 Yoshida - 7 Targett - 6 Davis - 7 Wanyama - 9 Reed -6 JWP - 6 Morgan - 9 Tadic - 7 Djuricic and Elia both 5 (would not sign either) Pelle - 7 Mane - 8 Long - 7 Not too disimilar to OP. Gave Bertrand a 10 as he has been so consistent, really don't recall him having a bad game or making many key mistakes.

If our seasons results went in reverse order then the expectations of many would never have got so high. Whilst it's been a slightly disappointing end, there have been so many positives. The fact is this club isn't ready for Champions League football anyway, let's go serve our apprenticeship in the Europa league and have another steady season. Then, we can think about building upon it. Keep the faith in Les Reed's plans and vision, but most importantly, keep patient.
-
Agreed, if we signed him and J Rod can repeat his previous form we won't need to sign many attacking players. I think we will need a few defensive reinforcements though. Hopefully the situation with Clyne and Toby gets sorted soon.

I wouldn't laugh too much about that Morgan rumour, my contact at Spurs has told me it's a strong possibility.
-
Difficult to call, but I can actually see us winning this. Would love to finish 5th, I think we deserve it.
-
I'd still take him back. It's not worked out for him at Liverpool but I have no doubt HCDAJFU. A lot of people seem to think he's no longer good enough, but then that was the case last season despite him getting into double figures for goals and assists.
-
Yep, not so good with our games the last few weeks. I've ended up winning a few hundred!
-
Relax, 7th is guaranteed, just had a tenner on Swansea
-
Draw will be fine anyway. Fairplay to Swansea though, a great season for them.
-
That'll do, can't see us getting anything next week but you'd have to fancy Arsenal to do a job on Villa.
-
There was no denying he had an awful few games back in October/November. I said when we signed him he looked like a player who was going to have either a poor game or an outstanding one. I just think the whole things a bit pathetic. There's a reason people were coming out with the comments. It may have been an overreaction but the fact was he was playing ****. The Man Utd home game was probably the worst performance by a Saints player since Ali Dia. Since then he's been fantastic and far more consistent. For me he's our only real game changer, and it's vital to have such an asset.
-
A bit worried still that Villa could ruin our season. Hopefully Man City can grab a point today. All to play for next week though; us, Spurs and Liverpool all have tough games. It's insane to think we can still nick fifth place

Obviously it was an emotional day with the legend Stevie G playing his last game, otherwise they would have won, eh Brendan?

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 6-1 Aston Villa
Saint_Tony replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Great performance. Don't want to be negative but Villa could still destroy our season, not playing like that though. So much more urgency today though, Long proved his worth again despite so many writing him off. 5 decent additions and this side can cope with Europa -
Incredible. WE HAVE JUST WITNESSED PL HISTORY. Show me the Maneeeeeee!

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
Saint_Tony replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Quite like the away kit, it's a lot different to anything we have had before. -
If we want to compete at the highest European level, then we need to learn in the Europa first. This club is nowhere near ready for the CL.The players need to get used to playing all the extra games. I'd be happy to do what Everton have done this season. They put out a strong team every round and had some decent results along the way. 10th place is fine with me if we go all out to try and progress in Europe.

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
Saint_Tony replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
You'd think the club have monitored his situation, and we don't appear to have rushed things. Whilst I'm not totally convinced he will regain his previous form, it's positive news and sends out a message to any of our players who want out. I'd like to think this also means Ronald will still be here next season[emoji2] -
Thats why I mentioned even a side like us, we too have struggled to create chances. Still not as bad as Burnley though
-
Swansea just have that little extra bit of quality that we lack going forward. Even so, we've been clear of them for months and it should never have come to this. So nervous for the Villa game now.
-
Oh dear. To not even finish in the top 7 was unthinkable just a few weeks ago. Massive, massive game now on Saturday. We may well need a result at City as well. Absolutely gutted right now. Hopefully Man City will do a job on sunday

Ings has a very decent goal record for a Burnley side extremely short on creativity. I have no doubt whatsoever that even for a side like us he will score at least 15 in the season.
