We are Southampton, the team that finishes 7th and doesn't lose to teams like Everton 3-0 at home. Let's all have a meltdown. **** me. 2 games in and the season is over for some. These are the sort of games we struggle in. Admitedly the defence was all over the place but we will still bring in a couple of players. I'm all in favour for going all out in the Europa league and letting Stoke, Swansea and Palace finish above us. We will lose a fair few games this season, get over it. Spot on, I think some people just expect us to constantly upgrade on players like Morgan, when there are very few players of his quality are available, hence why bigger clubs are buying them. If we were able to buy better players we'd be in the top 4, but it isn't going to happen. It's quite clear what our strategy is when it comes to buying and selling players, and I can't see that changing anytime soon. What you have to remember is that we already had a better squad than the teams below us. So inevitably they will do more in the transfer market to try and compete with us. Sure, we still need another CB, but the reason we haven't signed a load european world beaters mighty like Stoke have is because we have't needed to make too many additions. Still, if they finish above us hopefully the top 4 will go chasing their players rather than ours. I really don't think he's going to cut it. He offers very little imo, too lightweight, no pace, power or aggresion and poor in front of goal. His delivery from set pieces is ok, but that's about it. I'm really not sure what his role is. He seems like a good kid, but I think he will end up at a bottom half premier league club or maybe the Championship. I think he gets a bit of extra media exposure because he's young, English and plays for Saints, which canlead to lazy articles and people thinking he's the next big thing. Sadly, he's not. Laughable to say his legs had gone in his last season with us. I think some people forgot we weren't in League 1/Championship anymore and expected him to score 20 league goals. Double figures for goals and assists is very impressive in this league. If he gets the game time at WBA he will score 10+ goals this season. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Think this is a great signing. A player with a lot of potential who has lost his way a bit. Good opportunity for him to kickstart his career again, I think he will be looking to become first choice so will be good competition. if we don't get VDV it won't be the end of the world. Anyone know what the fee is? Hope we haven't bowed down to pressure and have got at least £25 million. I guess half will go towards Clasie, then we still need another 2-3 imo.
