Of course, I think they will be really up for it. But now Wilson is out, they are seriously lacking in quality. I personally think our first 11 is as good as last season. The league table is irrelevant. 8-14th will do. We've seen before that being best of the rest only makes us more of a target for selling our best players. I think we are as good as last season. Maybe not, I can see Pelle is starting, but he relies on good service to be effective. If Ramirez and Juanmi have poor games, so will Pelle. Concerned with Yoshida (who can't play rb) and Targett (who puts in effort, but sadly not good enough for us. Also worried we will be lightweight in attack with JWP, Ramirez and Juanmi. Probably for the best we didn't win, just to save delusions of CL football like we had last season. Let's leave that to West Ham fans. A draw is still a decent result, we've had a lot of players away on international duty and Leicester are a very good side who will comfortably finish above us this season. A bit of a mixed bag of performances so far, but we are doing ok. Most expected mid-table and that's where we will be, accept we won't match last season's phenomenal efforts. Bit disappointing in the end, but Leicester are a decent side. It's quite obvious we are going to be a mid-table side this season so I'm not going to get too disheartened by the result. Great performance and win. RoKo was able to pick the strongest team we have put out all season and it showed. I know Chelsea were poor, but we hardly gave them a sniff, I was never worried when they were going forward. Great to see Davis find his shooting boots. I said when we signed him he looked like he was going to be a frustrating player who would be great one week and poor the next. It looks like he is starting to get a bit of consistency now, I would go as far as saying he could be one of the top 10 best players in the PL this season. The stupid thing is, last week at West Brom we say the defence looks solid, but we were toothless in attack. It was the opposite against utd. I have no doubt once both click we will start winning games. Koeman playing Yoshida at RB was just suicidal, he cannot play there, but you can't blame him for being picked in that position. Yeah pretty much spot on. We will be fine this season, we all got a bit over excited last year so let's not get too down now. I really think once Bertrand and Clasie will improve our side a lot. Yoshida at RB is the worst decision Ron has made since he took over. Strange game, we were great for 30 mins, then just decided to give the game away. I think we will get going eventually, we simply have to forget about last season and be realistic about where we are at right now. We desparately need Bertrand back. I never said it did, and I never said I expected anything different. I fully expected us to be around 10-12th this season. That would be no disgrace. The league is far more competitive this season.As I have said many times, last season we played to our full potential in most games. It's just not possible to maintain that for another season. Last season will be our only opportunity to try and break the glass ceiling and break into the top 6. And as we saw, it is nearly impossible to do. We did a lot of the hard work but ran out of steam. I think Swansea may challenge this year.

Theres only a few teams that look worse than us this year, it's very much looking like mid-table this season. As we know though, finishing 8th-17th makes little difference. Just featured Fonte's instagram post on SSN, Fonte is apparently now at Liverpool according to the presenter. Easy mistake to make I guess. Hope he has a speedy recovery though, you wouldn't wish an injury like that on anyone. Such bad timing as Shaw was just starting to regain some of the form he showed when he was with us. Yes, quite a few teams will be finishing above us this year. Got to hope for a decent cup run this year, theres nothing to really play for in the league, which is very disappointing. We should start picking up a few points once Bertrand and Clasie return, but the likes of Swansea, Leicester, West Ham and Palace are all looking much stronger; the league is a lot more competitive this season.
