  1. Bottom line for me is he just isn't that good. Sure, he has good delivery from set pieces, but offers very little else. MLG can bang on about his age and stats of how many games he started, I'm more interested in whether or not we have a quality player on our hands. The answer is know. He's done well for the u21s for England, but there's a reason he never gets linked with a move away. I think he may stay with us another season or 2, before finally dropping down to the Championship, which is about his level. Seems like a good kid, but we can't keep waiting for him to come good. 2. Not a fan of Spurs, but for me Dier, Alli and Kane all have to start. There's potential for a decent first 11 in the squad. I just fear we will end up playing someone decent in the quarters and reverting back to using the likes of Henderson and Milner to try and play for penalties. And then lose. 3. Same ****, different summer. How much are we likely to get for all of them, £70 - £80 million? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  4. Genuinely believe Van Dijk will be the standout CB in the league next season. Only problem with that is the media and pundits might start to realise it. With the stupid figures quoted for the likes of Stones, we should be able to get £40 million for him next summer. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  5. Ron obviously wants a proper go at the Champions League, and understandably so. I also believe he'd like the chance to do it with us, but it's difficult with the way we operate. I know we are improving every year, and what we have achieved is phenomenal. But every summer its a case of 2 steps back, 1 step forward with selling players. This season feels like a missed opportunity, its sounds stupid to say but we could have quite easily finished 2nd or 3rd. If Ron is given the funds and can keep players, 4th place is a possibility. I feel only under these circumstances he might consider extending his stay Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  6. He's been overshadowed by Rose because of Spurs nearly winning the league (or not lol). Bertrand doesn't really have bad games, and is a far more reliable option, but sadly I doubt many non-Saints fans would see it like that Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  7. Incredible, we've gone under the radar this season with Leicester's success and West Ham's (even though we finished above them). What a finish though, its just a bit frustrating because of our poor run of form before the turn of the year. Next season has to be about the Europa. The league will be much tougher. 8. Pretty confident we will win today, although I expect the other teams around us too. Just to clarify for the 1000th time, if the positions stay the same, we will need a Utd cup win to make enter Europa qualifiers? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  9. Europe gone now. That poor run last year left us with to much to do. We've done incredibly well to finish so strongly though Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  10. Think it'll be 2-0 Palace - Dwight Gayle to score both goals Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  11. Agree, easily the worst result of the season for me. They'd rested key players and were there for the taking, still wondering how we failed to beat them Still, I can't see West Ham and Liverpool both taking maximum points ( although I doubt many saw us taking 6 from Man City/Spurs!) 12. What a win, great defensive display. Right in the race for Europe now having gone under the radar this season. I said last season in a way we would have been better starting poorly then creeping up the table. We got to 2nd and the expectation was too much Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  13. So if we win tomorrow and West ham lose/draw, it'll be in our hands last game because of goal difference? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  14. Let's not forget he's spent a fair amount of time on the bench. He's not always going to put a shift in or turn up every game, but when he's on it there are few better creative players in the league Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  15. If only we could play like that every week. We have a very strong first 11 and are more than capable of handing out a good beating to any side in this league on our day. I know we are likely to sell some players in the summer, but it's more frustrating than ever. Mane never looks too happy, and I think he's a certainty to leave. He's been a bit inconsistent, but we saw what he was capable of yesterday. I think Ron will want to try and challenge for the top 6 once more, but in a way it's been a bigger missed opportunity this season than it was last. Hopefully we can at least keep VVD, but I fear he will stand out too much as the best CB in the league next season. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  16. We could win the league playing like that every week. Just a shame Mane will be gone at the end of the season.Got the impression from reactions after he isn't the most popular guy in the squad so may be pushing for a move.Going forward, Long needs to be the focal point, we are so much better without Pelle. £12 million for Long doesn't look so bad now. Great performance though, and we should be confident going to Spurs, who will be feeling a bit sorry for themselves being confirmed in 2nd place by the time we kick off. 17. Europe over, just hope we can keep some focus now but can't see it happening. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  18. They really are there for the taking, if we don't win this will be the most disappointing result of the season Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  19. Wenger looking to offload Walcott, the Ox and Chambers. How much did we sell them for? Quite sad really how they never pushed on, all left too quickly though. Never really rated Chambers, but I think the wages of the other two may be out of our budget. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  20. I just cannot see us finishing anywhere other than 8th. We need to win 4 from 5 to have any chance imo and hope for others to drop points. Our terrible run in november/december killed our season really. Its been a strange one. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  21. We've been too inconsistent. I think 8th is nailed on now. Hardly a disaster, I guess with the whole Leicester thing it makes you wonder why cant we? Still, they won't be up there next season. MP may have done well for Spurs, but he still ensured they exited all the cups to focus on the league. In the end it's counted for **** all, exactly when he did it so we could finish 8th. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  22. Strange game, i thought we were comfortable; Mahrez was kept quiet. If Mane had scored would have been a different game. We lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Too many poor crosses into the box. Can't believe I am saying this, but if this was part of RoKo's gameplan then surprised JWP didn't start. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  23. Frustrating afternoon. We've been comfortable but not created much. Too many poor deliveries into the box Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  24. Has to be a handball and red, although Mane should have taken it earlier and buried it Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  25. Forster Targett Bertrand VVD Fonte Martina Romeu Wanyama Davis Mane Pelle Think this is the line up we will see. Should be a decent game, I really fancy us to win this 2-1 Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
